"Oh, Code Zero, you're here!" Code Tet says in surprise. "I'm here to give you a quick lesson. Code Trace said that I'll be coming, right?"
"Yeah, she said you were gonna challenge me."
"Since you already know, go. The first move is yours." she told at him.
Once again, he uses the smoke bomb, trying to do the tactic he did with Code Trace yesterday. It was already planted so it was somewhat of a surprise. He completely remembers the earlier position so reaching out to where she was is an easy job for him. Unfortunately, he felt nothing.
"You're using the same strategy, a bad one as well. Not only does the smoke hinder the enemy's sight, it also affects the user. Well, it only did because of the way it was used."
Code Tet kept turning at every direction but he still felt no contact with anything. "You're panicking, are you not? It seems you don't have a backup plan. Most times, everything won't go as you initially planned. If every strategy you thought of has failed, you should have the composure to either come up with something on the spot or make an escape."
"Escape? Why should I escape?" Code Tet asks as the smoke cleared out. "Know when to back down. Don't overestimate yourself." Behind him, the voice of his opponent rang out.
Code Zero planted a knife on his neck. "Oh, and this is an actual knife. Don't think lightly of training." she tells him before putting the knife down.
A mix of emotion shot Code Tet as he looked at her. It wasn't because he lost, it was because of the new personality his friend shown. He then looks at the weapon used and was shocked to see the colour red on the tip. His face went pale on the sight.
Following where his eyes pointed, Code Zero looked at her knife. "Oh, I sharpened it a bit too much..." she said at the sight of the blood. "Does it hurt?" she asked the boy.
"T-that..." he stuttered as his words. "That was amazing!"
Surprise with the sudden outburst, she stepped back a bit. "Huh?! Uh, um... It really wasn't much" she says while still backing away to the door.
"Where are you going...?" Code Trace who was watching the whole scene from earlier asked the girl. "R-right...! Of course..." Code Zero says as she stops.
This time, Code Trace was the one who advanced further to Code Zero. "Ah, you already thought him a lot of things in one fight! I really am not qualified to teach...!"
"To be honest, I think you're perfect for Code Tet." Code Zero voiced her opinion which surprised Code Trace. "Really? How?" she asked her.
"Well, Code Tet's initial strength is already good. What he's lacking is a creative mind for strategies."
"Oh, okay then.... What should I teach?" the clueless Code Trace asked. "Uh, strategies and ways to counter the enemy? You always watched the fights that ever happen. I guess you can take inspiration from that."
With the lesson over, Code Zero left to do what ever she does.
