A dead aura filled the classroom as they waited for their teacher. The weekend has passed. The three would've been unprepared if not for Alice's reminder. Almost everyone had their face on a book when the teacher came in. It was time for the dreaded exams.
-----
"Did you guys knew the answer to question 28 on History?" a random voice was heard from the crowd of students. Like always, Hayley skipped and the other three are dispersed to their own groups. The four of them is always seen around town but when inside school, they're not that much seen together.
In the canteen, Denver was off with Clyde with Xyle missing from the picture. Trix was in a little study group. Both Hayley and Alice were out of the scene. It was a normal, boring day.
-----
The school bell rings as the four got up from their respective seats. Since they all share their last schedule, meeting up wasn't a problem. They meet up at the "Wandering Cat" also known as Sheena's cafe.
"Can I get coffee before we go? I want the usual." Hayley asked Sheena as she came from the back. "Yeah, of course. How about the others?" she then proceeded to ask the remaining three. "I could use some coffee as well." Trix says as she sits down with Hayley. The remaining two denied. The cafe was closed early because of the need of Code Trace on their next step. In normal cases, she can operate on the surface but she is needed down below this time.

Once the two got what they wanted, they went down to the institute. The three were going to be examined on how they react on a live mission. Because of the high risk they will get if they were to do a real assassination, they are going to be placed in a virtual reality world. The technology of the institute was advanced enough to create a completely surreal experience. The key relied on the machine's connection on the user's brain. Unfortunately, the user's body will be put on a vegetative state as the machine is on. Nonetheless, it does its job flawlessly.
Since this was the first time, they were going to be put in the same realm together. Code Zero was also coming along with the three. "Remember, this is not a game." she says as they put on the helmet-like device on their respective heads. Upon laying down, the machine activates.
-----
The four found themselves in the base of operations of the institute. "Your target..." Code Zero started as a picture of a young man appears in front of them. "Xun McIver. Straight medium amber hair, green eyes, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, a normal looking body type." She says as a picture of a man who fits her description appeared on the screen. "Not him specifically but the ones in control of him. They were one of my previous targets. If this is a game, the difficulty would be hard. You have to find out who the target is first."
"Hard? I thought the reason for this was to practice." Code Six questioned the supposed difficulty of the mission. "The three of you will pursue the target together. After this one, you're going to have different targets. You can even choose if you wanted to."
"We can go on something hard from the start?" Code Four asked. "Yes. I don't recommend it though."
"You think its too difficult? You may be underestimating us a bit." Code Tet stated. "Remember what I said before we got in the program?" Code Zero asked him. "It was... 'this is not a game'?" Code Six answers.
