5- Now We're Talking

Y/N's POV

I'm currently sleeping on Velvet's head in my Nevermore form, feathers ruffling as I twitch occasionally. Cardin's returned from the infirmary, Ruby's learned to steer fucking clear of me, and Team CVFY, except Velvet, is constantly surprised at how "docile" I am around Velvet. And I'm sleeping quite peacefully up until I hear a certain ape harassing Blake, simply because she's a Faunus. He knows never to go near Velvet anymore, and he learned that the painful way. Idiot never learns, does he? I shake as I wake up, gliding onto the table and taking my Scroll. "I'll be right back. I have an ape to assault again." "You do that, Azure. We'll wait here." I put my Scroll down and fly towards Cardin, cawing and turning into a Zaratan last moment, landing on him.

"What the hell?! Get off me, you stupid beast!" I turn into Lepus form again, looking him dead in the eye. "DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE, NOT AGAIN." I smile inwardly, jumping high and turning back into a Zaratan and letting gravity do the work. Pained groans are my reward for my efforts, as multiple cracks are heard from his chest. GOOD. I turn back to a Nevermore, cawing at Blake before flying back to Velvet. Pain shoots through me, making me miss the landing and crash into the table. Ow, god! Why?! I've done nothing to piss off anyone but Cardin! I fly through the pain, going out the door and around the corner. Once I'm out of eyesight, my body shifts back to a normal human form, clothes and everything. "Okay, nice. Back to normal. Kind of." Black hair drops into my eyes, and I reach into my pocket to find a mask inside. "I can work with this."

Slipping the mask on, I walk back into the cafeteria, sitting next to Team CVFY and grabbing my scroll. "Umm... Can we help you?" I blink a couple of times. "Oh, right. Forgot you guys don't know what my human form looks like. Let me properly introduce myself." I pull my mask off, setting it down on the table. "Name's Azure. Pleasure meeting you all." The four of them, even Fox who's never seen me, are taken aback by my reveal. I lean my elbow on the table and rest my head on my hand, thinking. Now, how to screw over the whore? Oh, I know! Fake news about my death, and blame her! Ha, Genius. "So, any of you know where to find Ruby? I've got news about Y/N that she needs to hear. The kind of news no one wants to hear." Pained expressions form across the four of them, Velvet's the most saddened. "What happened?" I fake a saddened look of my own, gazing towards the window. "Grimm attack. Authorities didn't find any bodies, but there was blood everywhere. Y/N's blood."

Tears form in their eyes at the news. I hate lying to them, but I have to make sure there are no holes in my story. Looks like Y/N's gonna disappear from Eight's for a long while. "I know where Ruby's at. Come on, I'll take you to her." Velvet stands, putting a hand on my shoulder and leading me back to my dorm. Inside is Ruby, sitting on the spare bed. "Hey." She looks up from the photo in her hands, setting it back down and staring at us. "Velvet, what are you doing here? Who's this? Why are you crying?" I slap Ruby lightly, but enough to hurt. "That's for shooting me." I punch her in the stomach next, making her cough blood. "THAT'S for what you did to him. Because of you, he's dead." Through a fit of coughs she looks up at me, confused. "W-what? Y/N's d-dead? What happened?! Why is it my fault?!" I snarl at her, shoving past and grabbing the scroll filled with surveillance recordings from all over Beacon out from under my mattress. "Grimm attack. He died because he couldn't focus. As to why it's your fault, well. Just listen." I find the recording from RWBY's dorm on the day Ruby shattered whatever trust I had in humans and play it on max volume.

"Mmm, fuck. Harder, Cardin! I wanna be thinking about this all night!"

"And your boyfriend?"

"Forget him! I only date that loser because he looks so pitiful!"

Her eyes widen as do Velvet's before she socks Ruby in the face with a pissed expression. "How could you?! He gave you everything, and that's how you thanked him?! By screwing the worst possible human being on the planet behind his back?! Azure, give me your gun." I gladly pull Pain from it's holster and hand it to her. "Ever wonder what it's like to get shot through the wrist?" "N-no?" BANG! Ruby screams as the bullet rips right through her aura and wrist, blood pouring out of the wound. "Now you know." Velvet hands Pain back to me and I holster it. "Karma's a bitch, ain't it, Whore? I always hated you, I hated you from hello." "See ya around, you bitch." I put the scroll back in a hidden place while Velvet leaves the room, pissed beyond belief.
