"I can't believe her!" I smirk, resting my hands on the back of my neck. "This is why I hate humans. No matter what, they'll always find a way to destroy something. Whether it's each other, other people, the planet, they'll just constantly destroy." She looks back at me, confused. "I thought you were human?" I laugh at that, moving my hands to my mask, taking it off and putting in my pocket. "Well, that's half right. I'm kind of like a Faunus, except I don't have an animal trait that's super visible. It's my eyes." I let my eyes change, seeing orange for a couple of seconds before changing them back. "See?" Velvet stares at me for a couple of seconds before turning back around quickly.
"By the way, how did your gun go through her aura?" I move my hands from my neck and rest one on Pain. "They're custom made, to make my opponents and I fight on equal ground. If I have to fight without an aura, so do they. Don't believe me? Here. Stab me in the stomach, hard as you can." I pull Kuramasa out of the ether and toss it to her, grip first. "Don't be shy, I've been hit by worse."
She hesitates, which knowing her, is completely understandable. "Come on, Velvet. You know I can take it. I'll even make it easier." I place my hands on hers, guiding the tip of the blade to my stomach. "Now just push forward." I wince slightly as the blade pushes it's way through my skin, blood starting to stain my shirt where the wound is forming. Velvet quickly pulls Kuramasa out of my stomach when blood starts collecting on the floor. I drink in some of the negativity in the air and heal the wound pretty quickly.
Once the blood stops dripping, I put Kuramasa back into the ether, putting on my mask and placing my hand on Velvet's shoulder. "See? I told you I'd be fine. C'mon, let's head back." She keeps asking if I'm okay the entire way back, and each time I tell I am, all the way until we get back to team CVFY, at which point it's actually starting to annoy me.
"Alright, Vel, let's get one thing straight. I am fine. My semblance, although I have no aura, lets me heal myself with negativity, just like a Grimm. Okay? I am fine." The rest of the team is a bit confused but Velvet does stop asking if I'm okay. The rest of team RWBY are sitting with us, and every time her name is mentioned both Velvet and I get just a bit more pissed off. And, speak of the bitch and she shall appear, she shows up, wrist wrapped in bandages and still it drips blood. Good.
"And I've suddenly lost my appetite. I'm going to talk with Oz. And Ruby," I give her a glare cold enough to rival even one from my mother when she gets angry, "When I get back, you had better be gone. For your sake." I take my empty plate and place it in the trash, shoving Cardin out of my way. The other students give me a wide berth as I walk, pure rage emanating from me.
It doesn't take long before I'm standing in the elevator to Oz's office, waiting while it rises. Black mist covers my body and my natural state returns, 'Azure' disappearing. I run a hand through my h/c hair, letting my eye change freely. The moment the elevator stops and opens, I step out and take a few steps forward.
"Ah. Y/N. Good to see you. Care for a cup of coffee?" Despite Mom's anger towards Oz, he's never seemed that bad to me. "Black, please. I need to calm down, or someone is going to get cut in half." Oz nods and pours a cup from the pot on his desk, handing it to me. Taking a sip, I place the cup down, running a hand through my hair again. "Is there a reason for your anger, Y/N? You're usually quite calm during your visits."
I scoff and take another sip of my coffee, starting to calm down a small bit. "Ruby Rose. Ruby Rose is the reason for my anger. Don't ask why it'll just make me angrier and I'm starting to calm down." Oz just nods, letting me drink my coffee. "Have you, have you ever had your heart ripped out of your chest and shot with a high caliber sniper rifle by the one person you thought would never betray you?" I look as Oz places his cup down, lacing his hands together.
"Y/N, I will be honest with you. I have made more mistakes than any man, woman or child on this planet. And yes, in some cases, the mistake was falling in love with the wrong person." I nod and take another sip of coffee. "But, if you're asking if your anger is misplaced, I don't think I would be the person to answer that. Be honest with me, now. Did you truly love Miss Rose, or were you simply deluding yourself and trying to get close to her because of Salem's insistence?"
I don't have an answer for that. Mom did say that I should try getting close to Ruby, but she never said how. "I, don't know." Oz picks his cup back up and turns to the window. "I do believe it's time for you to return to class, 'Azure'. And, I also think that Y/N wouldn't want his friends to mourn his death, but rather, celebrate his life, don't you? So I'm sure the rest of the staff wouldn't mind too much if, perhaps, some members of Team CVFY came in nursing a hangover tomorrow." Oz ends his sentence with a small smirk. I give him a quick nod, returning to my 'Azure' disguise, and step into the elevator, stepping right past James Ironwood in doing so.
Waiting for the elevator to reach the ground floor of the building, I pull out my scroll and dial up the number for Eight's. "Magic 8 bar, Eight speaking~" "Hey, Eight, long time no see. Listen, I need a favor. Not anything illegal this time. This time, you'll be getting paid." "I'm listening. What do you need, Y/N~?" I lean against the wall, smirking. "What I need, is a few unscheduled off days from Beacon. Same for a few friends of mine. Know anywhere we just relax for a few days?"
"Nothing illegal, huh? Yeah, I know a few places. Beach or no? Also, the place is gonna have an open bar, tended by yours truly, of course. I need time off, too." I laugh. "Yeah, a beach will probably be perfect. And I expected nothing less. You still need to train some new bartenders anyway. I told you I'd help, free of charge, so long as I get free drinks." Eight laughs, but doesn't deny it. "Yeah, yeah. When do you want this to happen? And which friends? I'm guessing not that little ex-girlfriend of yours, obviously." "Yeah. I'll text you their names. As for when, how about a few hours from now, during the last class of the day?" A few seconds pass, and I hear Eight yelling to some of her 'employees', something about something valuable almost being dropped. "Sorry. Anyway, that works. Gives me enough time to charter a bullhead for the trip, and get my team ready. See you when you wake up, Y/N."
