I couldn't believe it. An entire Wizarding World existed? What's next?
When we flashed out of Olympus, we appeared in a little tavern-like room. Hecate was with us and whispered something to the man behind the bar, who led us back into a hallway with numbered doors. He stopped and unlocked doors number 11 and 12 before turning away and telling us to come to him if we needed anything.
"Alright, children," Hecate said, "Welcome to the Leaky Cauldron! Girls in one room, boys in another. You'll have bunk beds and the rooms are spacious, so you should all fit nicely. Today is what, August 29th? The train to Hogwarts leaves on September 1st, so we'll send someone to take you to King's Cross. Actually, Hagrid should show up the day before, he'll help you then. You'll have the next two days to explore Diagon Alley and adjust to the Wizarding World. Take this, Annabeth, it has your school lists and everything you'll need to do your school shopping. I must go now, good luck!"
Lady Hecate handed a portfolio case to Annabeth and vanished. "Well, I guess we're wizards now! I'm gonna go take a nap," Travis turned to go into the boys' room. I rolled my eyes at my boyfriend and went into my own room.
It was evening by now, so I decided that I'd get settled and go get some dinner back where we came in. Then I'd get to bed so I could wake up bright and early to explore Diagon Alley in the morning.
[TIME LAPSE]
Diagon Alley was amazing! The magic everywhere was awesome. We had started out our morning by going into Gringotts, the wizarding bank. Apparently, the gods own Vault #1, the first vault in the bank. The goblins seemed a bit surprised someone was coming to make a withdrawal from it, which doesn't appear to happen often.
After that, we had gone to Flourish & Blotts, Slug and Jiggers Apothecary, and Potage's Cauldron Shop to get the things that we needed for school. Now we were on our way to Ollivander's wand shop. I couldn't wait to get my wand, it was exciting.
We were shopping in groups of four or five, so that we wouldn't crowd any of the stores. I was in a group with Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, and Frank. Piper, Leo, and Calypso were still at the apothecary. Nico, Will, Reyna, and Thalia went to the Magical Menagerie.
I'm not really sure where the Stolls, Grover, and Tyson went off to. My idiot boyfriend and his brother are getting them into trouble, most likely. I would have gone with them had Hazel and I not been so engrossed in our conversation when we parted ways.
Anyway, as we entered the shop, an old man I assumed to be Ollivander came over. "Welcome, children. What can I help you with? You're searching for a wand no doubt? I would wonder why so many older witches and wizards were searching for their first wands, but I can sense the divine power in your blood."
Annabeth opened her mouth, probably about to deny the existence of any "divine power," but Percy interrupted her, "You can sense things like that?"
Ollivander smiled, "Of course. It is my mother's divine blood, combined with that of my father's magic, that allows me to easily form such a deep understanding of wandlore. It has been quite some time since I have encountered someone new of our kind. I am a son of Hecate."
"Let's take you first, child of the Underworld," Ollivander continued. "You should be easiest. I sense my mother has blessed you. Since we have more magic in our blood than the others, children of Hecate and those whom she blesses are particularly attuned to wands. If you focus enough, you should feel your wand calling to you. That's the way it was for me. Go on, give it a try."
