Leo beat ferociously on the wall with his substitute katana. He and his brothers had been captured by a brain-washed Karai and he was currently trying to get himself and Raphael out of one of her traps. As he attempted to find an opening in the wall, he tried to remember what had happened before they got trapped...
Everyone was in Donnie's lab as he tried to find a cure for Karai. She had been brainwashed by the Shredder and now followed his every command. Everyone held their breath as Donnie added the final touches to the potential cure. He added the last drop. They waited for what seemed like forever.... and finally sighed when the "cure" bubbled into a thick, dark-grey foam. An uncomfortable silence hung in the air. "You tried your best bro," Mikey finally commented. "Even it totally sucked." Donnie groaned and held his head. He finally turned to Splinter and told his Sensei, sadly, that he couldn't do it. What!? Leo thought. He's just gonna give up, after all we've been through? No way! Everyone dispersed form the lab with solemn expressions on their faces. Leo followed Donnie out of the lab and he couldn't hold his tongue any longer. " Donnie, you know how much this means to Sensei!" "I'm trying as hard as I can, Leo," he replied. His calm attitude made Leo lose it. "Well try harder!" he yelled. Donnie had had enough. "Try harder!?" he threw his clipboard down. "I always have to find the solution! You're the leader, Leo! You find the solution? Or how about Raph?!" Raph turned around at the sudden mention of his name. "I got the answer for you! Karai's a lost cause!" This made Mikey upset. "Don't say that, dude!" Then everything went crazy. They were all yelling at each other and pushing each other harder and harder....
Leo stopped beating against the wall for a second. His heart sank as a sudden realization hit him. All those things I said, he thought. What was the point if I never see my brothers again? He sank to the floor. The heat in the room was hitting him all at once and he didn't have any strength anymore. He leaned against Raph's body as he felt himself drifting off. But before he did, he looked up at Raph. "I love you, bro," he whispered. Then everything went black.
