Leo's eyes shot open. The heat was unbearable. He sighed and adjusted his position. He had failed. As a brother and as a leader. He felt unshed tears come into his eyes. He kept hearing Donnie's screams, Raph's labored breathing, and Mikey's— wait. Come to think of it, he hadn't heard anything come from Mikey. Leo jumped up, causing Raph to grunt. He ignored it. He was focused on something else. My brothers, he thought. They need me. I can't just sit around. I still have a chance to save them. Suddenly, he had a new idea. He ran across the room and grabbed the katana. He jammed the sword into a crack in the bricks. The surrounding bricks moved backwards. Yes! Leo mentally cheered. He took the sword out and jabbed the wall 3 more times. He eventually made a hole in the wall. It was tiny, but big enough for Leo to see wires sticking out. He slammed his sword into the wires. There was a blast of smoke and the heat started to turn off. Leo collapsed to ground. He had done it. Raph started to cough and Leo remembered he wasn't alone. He rushed over to Raph and put his arm over his own shoulder. "L-Leo," he mumbled. "Is that you?" "Yeah, yeah it's me, brother." Leo replied. He led Raph over to the hole. It slowly started to expand. Something in Leo's mind clicked and he pushed himself and Raph out of the way. The both landed on the floor with a grunt. Leo turned over to see what had caused his ninja senses to go berserk. His eyes widened when he saw a bright green, glowing liquid. Mutagen.
