Back to Leo and Raph

"What the—?" Leo said. Mutagen was slowly seeping into the room. He didn't know where it was coming from. Suddenly, his heart sank as he remembered something Raph had said earlier.

"Hey Raph," Leo whispered. Raph grunted, still unaware of what was going on. "What did you say earlier? That Mikey sounded like he was beside you?" Leo let out a sad cry as Raph nodded. Hearing this, Raph's eyes shot open. He found Leo hunched over on the ground, crying and mutagen seeping through the wall behind him. "Leo!" He yelled with newfound strength. "What's wrong?" Although, he feared he already knew. "It's Mikey," Leo managed to choke out between sobs. "He was in there." No. Raph thought. No. No. NO!

"NO!" He eventually screamed out loud. "Leo, c'mon man, let's go!!" He pulled Leo up and supported his weight. They both carefully stepped over the mutagen and found something to stand on. They looked down. What they saw was awful. There was a toilet with tanks that were full of mutagen. Under the flush valve of the toilet, there was a platform with wrist and feet restraints. They were torn in half. A trail in the mutagen lead to the opposite side of the room, where there was a giant hole in the wall. Leo closed his eyes and bowed his head. Raph stood wide-eyed. "Mikey?!" He screamed. No response. "MIKEY!" He yelled, louder this time. Leo opened his eyes. "H-he's gone, Raph," he whispered. Raph couldn't argue. He fell to his knees and looked down. "And I never... I just hurt him and.... why?" Raph mumbled. He closed his eyes as tears ran down his cheeks. He didn't care anymore. He had lost his little brother. And he never even told him how much he loved him. He couldn't stand the thought anymore.

Raph stood up, wiping his tears with the back of his hand. Leo put a hand on his shoulder and Raph turned around. Leo's cheeks were streaked with tears. Raph hugged him. Because he needed Leo as much as Leo needed him. They stood there like that for a while. Then, Raph slowly pulled away. He gave one last look at the room. Then he turned back to Leo. "Let's go get Donnie," he whispered. The room went silent when they left.
