Back to the Control Deck

It had been a long time since April and Sensei had seen Mikey's room covered in mutagen. They had wiped away their tears and prepared Karai for the healing mantra. She was still passed out after April hit her over the head. Splinter carefully laid his daughter down on the ground in front of him. He got into a meditative position and tried to focus. However, the adrenaline rush along with his sons was almost too much for him to handle. I can do this, He thought. I have to try.

He took a deep breath and started chanting the words. April sat silently on the side lines and kept quiet. After about ten minutes, Splinter opened his eyes and sighed. "It is done," he said. "Now, we wait." As if on cue, Karai started twitching. She groaned and sat up. Then, her eyes widened. She rushed to the edge of the control and hurled up the brain worm. Once she was done, she wiped her mouth and slowly turned around. "Miwa," Splinter whispered. Karai's eyes widened and she rushed over to hug Splinter. "I am so. Sorry, Father," she whispered. He hugged her back. April coughed after a while. "Hate to break up this touching moment, really, but we have to find the guys!" She exclaimed. "OH MY GOSH!" Karai yelled suddenly. "MICHELANGELO! What have I done?!" She collapsed onto the floor, sobbing. At that moment, the turtles rushed in. "SENSEI! APRIL!" they yelled. "K- Karai?" They stopped short. Karai looked up at them with tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry," she whispered again. It was silent for a minute. Then Leo stepped up. "It's not your fault Karai," he said. "It's okay." She stands up and looks him dead in the eye. "We have to stop Shredder," she said. "For Mikey." She put her hand in the middle of the group. Leo slowly put he hand on top of hers. "For Mikey," he said. Donnie joined next. Then, Raph and April. And finally Master Splinter. Then, they threw their hands in the air. "FOR MIKEY!"
