Twas dark now. The night was lit by several small fires, and a large bonfire in the center. For some unknown reason we all headed towards the center, close to the fire, somewhat. And for another unknown reason it was still Lucas, Lucifer, Henry, Chrome, Robin and I. Why we haven't started yet? I have no clue. Let alone Chrome. Why the hell was he still here?
Eventually we found a decent spot near the fire, but not around too many people.
Lucifer once more slouched in the way he did and put his hands in his pockets. "Dear Lords, if we end up doing a chant, please let it not be about seaweed and in english this time."
Lucas dryly laughed. "Oh, you mean Dulaman?"
"I Believe it's Freya Shakti this time." Said Robin.
Louie looked over at robin. "I don't think i'm familiar with that one."
"Then soon you will be."
On the other hand, Lucas Knew that chant word-for-word, and i knew Dulaman word-for-word. Then again, Freya Shakti was a simpler chant and song in school english, not Irish shaskayleega. I looked over at Lucas. He was his usual expressionless grin. Strangely enough, you could only tell his expression by his tone of voice for the most part.
Finally there was someone, who stood on a large rock. He made some sort of animal noise resembling a wolf's call. He was an older man, bit had ashy, brown hair, and wore decorative robes of crimson red. He spoke;
"By names and images, all powers awoken and re awakened. So we call her fourt. She, who has been known throughout time and across space, by her many names."
At the moment the crowd was silent. Something had silenced them. And that was when he started chanting.
"Freya, Shakti, Hathor, Rhiannon
Rhea, Maat, the Morrigan"
Lucas Lowkey joined, then Robin. That's when it spread like a wildfire. Basically everyone in the crowd that knew the chant was singing it and everyone who hadn't was clapping moreless.
Freya, Shakti, Hathor, Rhiannon,
Rhea, Maat, the Morrigan
High, raising up the Goddess
Oh, fill my soul
High, raising up the spirit
Oh, make me whole
Freya, Shakti, Hathor, Rhiannon,
Rhea, Maat, the Morrigan
Freya, Shakti, Hathor, Rhiannon,
Rhea, Maat, the Morrigan
High, raising up the Goddess
Oh, fill my soul
High, raising up the spirit
Oh, make me whole
She is a woman crowned with a crescent
She is the mother of all that lives
She is the Earth that is spinning in starlight
She is the Goddess of all that is
High, raising up the Goddess
Oh, fill my soul
High, raising up the spirit
Oh, make me whole
I know a woman stirring a cauldron
She is the source of the heart's deep core
I love a maiden dancing in moonlight
She is the key to the ancient lore
High, raising up the Goddess
Oh, fill my soul
High, raising up the spirit
Oh, make me whole
Freya, Shakti, Hathor, Rhiannon...
The rest of the night seemed all like a blue, considering that it was around Two after twelve (2am) in the morning. Lucas and I bid farewell to the semi-annoying people we had to be around that night. I was rather disappointed because I really didn't get to spend time with Lucifer.
We had finally left sometime around Three after Twelve At night. We departed about about five miles north, and finally set up camp around Four after twelve at Night. I spread out a small blanket that I had rolled on the back of my saddle on the ground, and used the saddle bag itself as a pillow. I took off my boots, and laid them asside. I slept in my clothes, the same way I did most nights. Coat and all.
((The song "Freya, shakti" is a real song By "Emerald Rose" and is on "Bending Tradition"
Point is: I don't own any of it. Nor, do I own anything to do with Dulaman.))
