I question my existence:
For what is all this persistence?
I often ponder.

I doubt my travail,
How am I of no avail?
I ask myself.

They forced me into a wooden box.
I screamed for help, but it was all for naught.
My hands were tied and my mouth sewn.
I was thrown into the deep bottomless pit.

I was curled to my side just needing someone's hand,
someone's acceptance and love.
