"Hey" Sam walks into my office with a lunch pack.

"Hey crazy" I quickly throw her a smile and continue working

"it's lunchtime Missy you gotta eat" she hands me the food

"Just a minute" I round off what I'm doing and open the food saying grace before eating it.

"So...." Sam's draws out and I raise a brow

"What happened the day Mr hottie came over"

"Nothing"

"Ah come on, tell me! What are best friends for?" she draws out

"Fine" I roll my eyes and I start telling her about my last encounter with Levi

"he cooked for you?" she asks and I nod

"He definitely likes you"

When lunch time was over sam had to get back to work leaving me to do mine.

I was at it when my phone rang

Levi

"Good evening sir" I greet

"Enough with the formalities cassie" Levi says sounding annoyed and I smirk

"There will be a meeting for all the managers of my Enterprises tomorrow by 7pm sharp. You're to meet at Grand Hotel pelicanno"

"Okay sir"

"Cassie" he warns

"Yes, Mr Rosario?" I taunt

"What did I say about being formal with me?" he says

"Uhhh you said I should stop?" I reply innocently

"So why aren't you stopping" he says

"Goodbye Mr Rosario" I hang up

I know hanging up wasn't a good idea but I don't think he'll do anything.

Right?

Anyway after work, I had to go look for a beautiful outfit to wear for the meeting tomorrow. I settled on a cute top and a nude pencil skirt with strap heels

Placing them on my reading chair I quickly shower, say my prayers and go to sleep.

You know when I was younger , I always ask my mum why I had wide hips and she'll always say it's a blessing.

Today, now? I think I'm not so happy about it.

The nude skirt I'm wearing is so fitted everything's on display

6:39pm

Great I have 21 minutes more before I'm late

"decide cass" I mutter to myself checking my backside on my mirror

Left with no other choice, I quickly wear my heels and board a taxi to the venue.

I walk into the hotel confidently, getting rid of all signs of nervousness.

Entering the elevator, I press a button heading up to the conference Hall for the meeting.

"hi there" I jolt as I hear a voice behind me

"uhm hey, you startled me" I turn around to see a tall blonde woman, she looks neatly dressed In a white pencil skirt, a top and red heels.

"You're here for the meeting?" she asks

"Yes. How about you?"

"yeah, I manage credos branch in China" 

"Oh that's nice, I manage our branch here in Newyork." I tell her

"I used to be the manager here before I was transferred to China and then they had to replace me with Uh what's his name, 'Rodgers?'" she says with annoyance and I chuckle at that

"I used to work as a stock keeper, I was the head of our department. Until I was promoted."

"Yeah, I know you. I heard what happened" she says and my eyes go wide, my face hot all of a sudden.

"Chill, my brother is the head of finance department and he told me about it. Nice of you to stand up for Mr Joe. Sometimes Mr Rosario can be an A-hole"She laughs at me

"You didn't hear that from me" she places her finger on her lip and I laugh

"Amelia" she says and I scrunch my brows

"My name" she rolls her eyes

"My name's Amelia Johnson, I'm married with two kids" she says proudly and I smile

"ohhh.. Aww that's nice, I'm Cassie Fortz" I tell her

"Nice can I have your number? I'll love to continue our conversation some other time" she says and I comply. When we get to the conference Hall we locate our respective seats and I take out my documents and my note pad.

A few minutes later, the meeting beginnings and Levi walks into the hall looking so handsome and I almost drool. He looks around then stops when his eyes meets mine.

I bite my lips and smirk. The tension between us is so strong even a chainsaw can't cut through it.

"Ladies and gentlemen," he begins

"Hey" someone whispers behind me and I just ignore

I continue listening to Levi until a piece of paper lands on my hand and I look around annoyed

"Hey" the voice comes again. I turn around to see the guy from that dinner party.

"You do realize that we aren't in highschool right?" I glare at him

"My bad, you were ignoring me so I just had to get your attention somehow" he says and I roll my eyes

"I guess we'll talk later?" he pipes up and I nod.

The meeting goes on and on and then we were asked to submit our reports for the previous day and give account of everything that has happened during our time of managing the place.

I watched other managers talk about theirs like it was nothing, but I on the other hand am nervous as hell

"Miss Fortz" Levi calls out my name and my heart starts beating.

I walk up to the podium confidently, noticing how everyone's eyes was trained on me.

I set up the projector and begin my speech, making sure I don't miss a thing

"Uh Hi everyone, I'm Cassie Fortz, manager of Credo's exquisite mall Newyork. Well, recently it was just a big supermarket until it was upgraded to a mall. Our sales has increased and due to that we've expanded our parking lot. We have well organized departments and the workers do their job excellently. There has been no trouble or theft, and no complain from our customers.
More companies and organizations have also been coming for partnership. And I made sure that all the deals we've made have been favourable. So, in my point of view Credo's mall Newyork, is doing just perfectly well .Thank you" I return back to my seat earning a thunderous clap from my listeners.

"Nice one Cassie" I turn around to see the guy from earlier

"Hey I didn't catch your name the Last time" I fold my hands and he laughs

"It's Jason Aldean" he says proudly and I laugh

"You did well up there" he says

"Thank you" I smile
