Another thing I didn't know about this place: There is a prison.

According to Jisung, the government placed a prison here years ago.

The school was built right by it, with the prison on the border of the school. The government knows this, but they think we are any average high school. Yet, they don't care that we are surrounded by some of the most dangerous criminals in the country.

Years ago, a genius came up with an idea for indestructible fencing. The prison head saw, and bought the fencing, unknown to the government. The genius was the founder of this school.

Then on, only the worst criminals came here. The most wanted, or the ones that did most damage.

Jisung had brought me to the prison. I stood there, looking at the massive grey building, that was a simple cube.

A simple, yet giant cube.

Surrounding the massive concrete cube, was a line of fence, that looked like every other. Except this one could not be jumped over, or could not be broken.

I don't know how, of course.

I'm not a genius.

Before, I would have walked straight in, and would have explored the whole place. I would have pushed all fear away from my system, and barged in. Now I took my time to observe.

The past couple months of living in fear and hiding, had brought me to sharpen my senses, and think before I act.

Jisung didn't have the same thoughts I guess. Because he ran inside, and dragged me along with him.

I made no sound, but followed him, feeling that something wrong was going to happen.

The guard looked at me funnily.

But then, he saw Jisung and his face lit up. I didn't know guards were allowed to smile.

"Right this way sir," he said, gesturing for us to follow him. He never paid any attention to me, as if I was not there.

Jisung looked happy. He looked content. That's not prison behavior.

Oh.

I froze in my tracks. The guard let us to a room with a door wide open. There were children in the room.

There was also a lady, with a child sitting in her lap. She was reading a book to her. The cover read, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." I remember reading this book. One of my childhood favorites.

Also. The woman was gorgeous. She looked a bit younger than me. Probably 16 or 17. I was surprised to see children here. Even more surprised to see gorgeous people volunteering.

The child looked up. Once the woman realized the child was no longer paying attention, she looked up too.

"Jisung! You're here today like usual!" she called out, with a smile on her face that would have brought men (and women) to their knees.

She placed the child down on the floor, where it crawled to Jisung. The child was wearing a red dress and bows in her hair.

She was adorable. I had always had a soft spot for babies. Ones that were not raised the same way as me. Ones that were sane.

"Ji-Ji!" she called out, showing the only two teeth she had.

"Mina is excited to see you, as always," the female said, walking gracefully over to Jisung. He hugged her affectionately. They seemed like more than friends.

They pulled apart and she then saw me. Her face twisted in anger. "Who's this female?" she said, with an edge to her tone.

"This is my friend, Kiko. Kiko, this is Yoo Ria. She's my..uh g-girlfriend," he said, spluttering out the last word.

I smiled. Jisung had a pretty girlfriend, who liked volunteering with children.

I waved to Ria, who still had an uncertain look on her face, as if I was her prey and she was contemplating whether she should eat me or not. I decided to hope she would not.

"Cool! Kiko you should meet Daniel. He's the same age as Mina and he is adorable," she said, with a seemingly genuine smile plastered on her face.

I wondered if she actually liked children, or did it for Jisung. Even though she seemed to really like children, I have always had a habit of questioning and digging for information.

A child waddled over to me. He surprised me. The child was large and round. He was extremely cute, yes. But not in the way I was expecting. He was cute in a large, fluffy panda way.

All the other children crawled away from him, as he came closer. It seemed as if he was disliked.

I didn't know that babies knew how to dislike at such a young age. I ran towards him, not understanding why other children avoided him.

He was the cutest thing I had ever seen. Other people might have seen him as an ugly pig, but I didn't even pay attention to that. He actually looked quite familiar, like one of my old friends.

He had this cute toothless smile on his face, that seemed excited to play.

"H-hey Kiko, that's Daniel Park," Jisung said, stuttering in a sense of fear.

"So?" I asked.

"Don't you know his father?" he asked.

"Uh, no don't think so," I said, with Daniel sitting in front of me, while I was feeding him applesauce.

"His father is Park Jaehoon."

I froze. The spoon I was holding dropped down to the floor, applesauce splattering everywhere.

"Did you just say Park Jaehoon?" I said in disbelief, the words pouring out of my mouth. Jisung did not look surprised at my reaction, as if it happened every time Jaehoon was mentioned.

But he would be surprised to know that Jaehoon is my ex-boyfriend. He was a year older than me, and we dated for nearly 6 years.

"Jaehoon is in this prison. He was the head of a gang and killed thousands of people. Then one day, he was reported by a female that was close to being raped by him," Jisung stated, looking bored.

Daniel looked at me in confusion as if to say, "Why you stop giving me food". Tears nearly fell out of my eyes looking at him.

The mother of this child.

I feel bad for her. Poor woman.
