Coming from the same family as Bokuto Kotarou was sometimes (okay, veeeeery often) exhausting. Especially when his birthday was drawing closer.
On the 20th September...
The first thing waking me up was a notification in the groupchat dedicated to the volleyball club of Fukurodani. I don't even remember why Bokuto had added me in this one, but here I am...
"GUYS IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!"
"Bokuto-san,please calm down it's midnight."
"BUT IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!"
"I won't toss to you at practice."
"BUT AKGHAAAAAAASHI D: SO CRUEL"
I could not help but chuckle at their antics. My annoyance at being awoken this early had faded. Little did my excited horned owl relative know that we were preparing something special for today.
Morning practice was going swimmingly, with Akaashi tossing to every wing spiker and middle blocker but the ace. From the bench, I could see Bokuto progressively sinking into his dejected emo mode and decided to nudge Kaori in the ribs to get her attention. "Hey, is everything ready?" She nodded and I could not fight the smirk creeping up to my lips.
After another impeccable spike by Konoha, it was the end. The Fukurodani captain was so still that I started to worry. On my signal, the team together with the managers and the coach gathered around Bokuto. He did not even look up, busy mumbling something under his breath. Sarukumi, Komi et Onaga unrolled a banner before his golden eyes to get a reaction out of him.
When Bokuto finally saw it, he beamed and it was the most beautiful expression that I had ever seen him wearing.
He read the words aloud with his usual energetic voice: "HEY HEY HEY YOU'RE THE BEST! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAPTAIN BOKUTO!"

Okay guys, so I'm not dead (after months without updates) and it's technically still Bokuto's birthday where I am.
So I needed to write for something for this precious volleyball baby! :) Happy birthday, Bokuto ♥
