Hirai Momo ran to the door once she heard the knock. "Good morning Miss. Hirai. Did you sleep well?" The officer, dressed in her uniform, asked. "I did. Where are we going?" The officer opened the door. "Just a small breakfast diner outside of town. It's a little far but they really are the best. It's worth it." Momo nodded as they both entered the elevator and rode down to the lobby. Once they arrived at the car, Officer Chou held the door open for the other and continued to her own side. "Don't worry, I'll try to drive a little faster so you won't be lateto any future meetings you hsve today." The officer started the car and turned on the siren. "Oh, no that's okay. I don't have any meetings today. You shouldn't be late to work though." Chou turned off the siren. "I have today off too. I'll get us their quicker because I know you woke up earlier and want to sleep some more." Momo shrugged. "I'm okay." The other said nothing. The drive was quiet for the most part besides the police officer humming to whatever song is on the radio.
They pulledup to this dingy diner about a mile or two out of the city. "I promise the food tastes better than it looks." Momo looked skeptical but still grabbed the official's hand to get out the car. She wasn't lying though. The place looked better inside than outside. It still needed lots of work but it wasn't horrible. The red booths were ripped up and stained, the table had already started chipping away, and Momo was convinced she saw a roach fighting with a rat under one of the tables. "This place is.. spacious." The authorive figure pulled Mom's chair out before sitting down herself. "Yeah they had more tables but then molded and rotted away." Chou shrugged as the Jap's eyes grew wide. "What would you both like?" Momo ordered water while the official ordered coffee. "You know you can call me Tzuyu. You don't have to be so shy and quiet around me. Don't let the uniform fool you sweetheart, I'm not on duty today. I thought about going in later on and getting some work done." Momo nodded and visibly relaxed. "We're working on a case where this woman gets poisoned and we're trying to figure out who did it." The waitress came back with their drinks. "Sounds interesting." The lady pulled out a broken pen and chewed up notebook. "What do you want to eat?" She carried herself like she was the best person in the world but her tone and attitude said otherwise. Momo ordered a small order of pancakes and Tzuyu ordered toast with eggs, bacon, and sausage. "So why are you in America. I never asked." Tzuyu took a sip of her coffee before waiting her answer. "I want to build a company here." The two sat in another awkward silence until their food arrived. "Enjoy." The waitress muttered. As Momo was about to take a bite of the meal, her food was sent flying across the establishment. "What the-" Momo pouted as she looked up at the food thrower. "JJeo-" Jeongyeon grabbed the rich woman's arm and proceeded to drag her out of the building and to her new motorcycle. "What was that about?" The brunette boarded the bike and gave the helmet to the other. "Couldn't you tell? The food was poisoned. I told you, I'll always protect you should you should know when you see me, you're in danger." The younger had nothing to say. She pulled helmet over her head and embraced her guardian from behind.
Jeongyeon pulled up in front of a fancy looking restaurant and turned off her bike. She helped the younger get the helmet off and entered the building. "Order whatever you want. You must be hungry. I'll pay for everything." The other raised her eyebrow. "Aren't you hungry too?" The older shook her head and leaned back watching the cartoon on the TV. Momo took this time to actually look at her hero. She was dressed in workout attire, a black sports bra (half covered by a thin, black jacket), gray leggings that accentuated her long legs, and classic Nike sneakers. This time she wore a black mask instead of the white one, which really lightened her dark brown eyes. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun. She looked tired but still so fascinating. "Welcome, what can I start you guys off with?" Jeongyeon ordered water while the rich girl ordered orange juice. They also went ahead and ordered their meals, Momo ordered an order of pancakes with the sides of hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, and sausage. "She would also like the same thing." The waitress smiled and walked behind the counter. "I said I wasn't hungry." She never looked away from the television. "Jeongyeon-ah, please eat something. You saved my life multiple times and I have no way to repay you. Please eat and let me." Finally prying her eyes from the TV, the Korean girl looked into the others eyes. "Okay. Thank you."
Within the next twenty minutes their food arrived along with their drinks. "Please enjoy." The waitress beamed before leaving the table. The two ate in a comfortable silence as they scarfed their food down.
"So where are you going after this?" Momo sighed as she leaned back rubbing her stomach. "My house. I have to pick up my friend from the airport tonight so I'll probably sleep some more." Momo nodded. "You don't work?" The older finished her food and leaned back signaling she was done. "I do work. I just don't have a set place to work. I'm all over the place. Sometimes I'm in town and sometimes I'm out of town. It depends on wherever my client is." The blonde nodded. "What do you work as?" Jeongyeon froze. Panicking, she said the first thing she could think of. "I'm an electrician." Mom's eyebrows raised. "Ooh for what company?" Frozen again. "Umm Lightingbugs Inc." The agent mentally facepalmed herself. "That's great. I'm actually in need of an electrician for my new building. I was everything to be technological and if you could do the clap on lights, I'd greatly appreciate it." Jeongyeon pursed her lips. "I'll see what I can do."
