I'm so stupid. Like, what the hell, Annabeth?

You're who I'm worried about, Seaweed Brain? That was practically screaming out that I liked him! And yet he still didn't get it.

The thought was persistent as I climbed out of Hermes' limo - almost tripping over my feet in the process - and up the stepped to Athena's apartment building. I heard Hermes drive off, probably parking the car or doing whatever he does when no one needs to be driven around anywhere.

I realized that I'd never thought about what Hermes does in his free time, but the simple realization was compartmentalized as the dark-headed Seaweed Brain flooded my vision once again. I tried to shake him away, but the minimal thought of his stupid smirk made a small smile appear on my features.

I huffed and dug through the pockets of my school skirt, attempting to find the keys to the front door of the building. The feeling of cold metal brushed my fingers and I grabbed the keys out, throwing them up in the air to look cool.

However, the action didn't work out as planned. The keys missed my open grasp completely and dropped onto the tiled stairs with a loud CLANG!

I shut my eyes for a second in frustration, taking a deep breath, but the grinning features of a green-eyed boy prevented myself from relaxing.

I opened my eyes quickly, desperate to dissolve of the image stuck in my mind. I clenched my jaw and pouted to myself.

Perseus Jackson, goddammit. That boy just refused to get out of my mind.

"Whatever you're doing to me," my voice was slightly shaking as I spat the words out to my grounded keys. "Stop it. Seriously, cut it out!" But his dreamy gaze wouldn't remove itself from my memory.

In a moment of rage, I kicked the ground. A sharp sting of pain pulled at my calf afterward and I groaned. Percy's image seemed to laugh at the action.

I looked up at the sky illuminated in the setting sun. "See what you're doing?" I shouted in a spiteful tone. "You're making me kick the ground! You're making me look like a psycho!"

I got a few stares from people walking past, but I quickly bent down and grabbed my keys. "Stupid pedestrians," I muttered as I unlocked the glass door and slipped through before anyone could call the police.

I got into the elevator at only glanced at my reflection in the mirror-covered walls before checking my phone to see if I had gotten any messages. A few minutes later, the elevator doors opened to reveal Athena's apartment.

I walked through, dumping my bag next to the sofa and started towards the kitchen where I could practically see the scent trails of delicious food leading to. Hestia's back was turned as she stirred something in a pot on the stove. I could slightly hear her humming again.

This time, the song was Forever and Always by Taylor Swift.

"Hey Hestia," I greeted her with a hug from behind. She didn't even flinch, which I found freakish. "Do you like Taylor Swift or something?"

She nodded. "Or something," she responded like that was an answer.

I let out a laugh and took a look at the pasta being stirred in the pot. "We're having pasta?" I asked her.

Hestia nodded again, beaming at me as she replied, "Yes, I found it fit after all." I raised an eyebrow in confusion, gesturing for her to continue.
