I practically ran home.

I was breathing so desperately hard as I rushed inside of my bedroom from the elevator. I didn't even know if Athena was home, and I could slightly hear Hestia cooking dinner in the kitchen, but I didn't care.

I shut my door softly, trying not to draw Hestia's attention to my room, and slumped down against the wooden backing of the door.

I shut my eyes and sighed. "Stupid, stupid, stupid," I muttered, slapping my forehead a few times for good measure. After a brief moment of just sitting there and contemplating my logic, I stood up shakily and went over to the corner of my room where my heavy school bag laid. I had thankfully gone home quickly with Hazel to do my hair and to leave my bag before my "date".

A rush of red flowed through me from the deep pit of my stomach as I thought about the date - with Luke out of all people. But then my mind wasn't focused on Luke anymore, instead now being flooded with the memory of Percy's lips on mine.

I brought my hand up to my own, which still harbored a tingling sensation, and sighed again.

I recalled my quick leave following the kiss and groaned.

I'm such a freaking idiot.

When he pulled away, something dark in his sea-green pools, my own eyes widened at the realization of what I had just done. I quickly gasped and blurted out a sorry, and then rushed off like a bull was chasing me. I had possibly just jeopardized my friendship - relationship? - with Percy.

I mean, the kiss was difficult enough to think about because it stirred so many feelings of mine that were tucked deep in a hidden crevice of my heart. Sure, Percy confessed that he liked me - romantically - but then I had to go and kiss him? He probably hated me after I went off at him too.

"Ugh," I vocalized my distress. I bent down and dug into my bag, taking out my laptop and charger. After plugging my charger into the nearby power-point, I placed my laptop onto my spacious, gray desk and opened it up, pressing the power button for it to turn on.

The white screen stared back at me as I wondered what to type into the search bar. With a spark of inspiration and a bit of embarrassment, I typed the words Percy Jackson Rachel Dare on the keyboard.

The search results were mostly fan pages for the singer - with way too many fanfictions than I'd care to see - but then I clicked on the images panel and frowned.

There were so many images of Percy and Rachel's hands intertwined and their happy smiles reflecting what I bet their relationship would've been like. Something tugged in my mind that made me see green, so much green that I had to change panels. I ended up clicking the news panel.

So many blogs and articles appear on the display screen, all with a similar title, but the only different one catches my eye: Hotshot Percy Jackson and Rachel Elizabeth Dare call it quits!

I frowned and clicked on the link, revealing a beige website called Superstar.

I scanned the page and silently read the article:

Although it may seem like all if well in the Perchel ship, Percy Jackson, teenage heartthrob, and Rachel Elizabeth Dare, daughter of William Dare, have apparently called it quits!

The international superstar we all know and love as Perseus Jackson hasn't revealed anything on his social media just yet, but the heir to Dare Enterprises has posted a surprising image on her Instagram, @racheledare, (image below) with the caption It's been too long, my baby.
