Julian's POV.

“So how was church?? " Nana asks over the phone with excitement.

I chuckle, “It was okay, I listened to a sermon and after that had a good talk with Abigail. ”

“So how did you feel during the sermon? " She asks me.

I shrug, “I don't know, I was nervous about entering the church but Abby helped me, I listened to the sermon and well it was good. I allowed myself to listen for the first time in a long time and I feel different. Like, I'm not rejected anymore. I used to feel like I had no chance to understand God's word anymore, now I'm thinking otherwise. I thought because I abandoned God, I didn't have a chance of understanding Him again, I guess I was wrong. "

“Oh my son, this is what I've been trying to tell you all along. You might have left, but God is faithful, He will never leave. " She says with a sigh. “My father always said that God is faithful to us, so it's up to us to be faithful to Him. " She ends and I smile.

“So how was your date with the girl? " She asks.

“It was fun, we talked a lot about our families and other stuff. " I say smiling.

“Oh, you know, you don't sound like her boss... " She says and I open my eyes shocked. I completely forgot that she is my employee. How am I going to behave around her at work. I can't be too amiable, otherwise I'll loose my respect from the others.

“Hey son, what is wrong with you? Has something caught your tongue? " Nana asks and I sigh.

“It's nothing Nana... "I say a little frustrated. “I just realized that I have work tomorrow. "

At that, Nana opens her mouth and laughs. “Oh my boy, for the first time, you are complaining about your work... Praise the Lord!!! "

I can't help but laugh.

“Okay my son, I'll leave you now to rest. Goodnight dear. " Nana says.

“Goodnight. " I respond.

“How was the weekend? " Igor asks me when I enter the office. I take off my coat and hang it.

“It was a busy one... But very interesting. " I say nodding seriously as I try to read the many files on my desk.

“Why are there so many papers on your table. Didn't you work during the weekend? " Igor asks.

“No I didn't, I had a dinner on Saturday then I went to church on Sunday. " I say.

“You went to church?! " Igor asks shocked and I sigh.

“Igor, this is not the right time. I'll see you at lunch alright. " I say frustrated.

Igor shrugs and turns around to walk out.

“Igor... "I call out to him and he turns around.

“Is Miss Williams around? " I ask him with the words sounding a little bit foreign to me.

“Yeah, I should think so. It's around past 8. She should be around. Is there any problem? " Igor asks me. I shake my head and he nods. He turns around and exits my office to continue my work.
