While Ethan, Sam and Kay were at the hospital...
It had been five days since Jem had seen someone else then the guards, Gary, Eliot, Lara and Leo. It's not that they go on his nerves, but he really really needed to see the outside, smell normal air, see people and get out of this cell! It was driving him crazy. He wanted to smash something, to let out his frustration, wanted to go home, be free, be with his friends, to-
''Hey, are you okay? Jem? Jem!''
Jem felt hands grabbing him, but barely.
''Jem, you're shaking! What's happening? Jem!''
Jem felt as if he was sliding. He was barely hearing his friend, shaking with anger.
''Guys, come here! Fast!''
Jem knew Leo was asking for help, but he couldn't react. It was like something had taken over him.
''Help! HELP!''
He felt as if warmness was wrapping him up...
''Jem! C'mon, wake up!''
... Like a blanket. Leo's voice was fading away.
''Jem, it's not funny!''
Where he could forget his worries.
Where he was happy.
Safe.
Free.
''JEM!''
But reality hit him. Too soon, Leo's panicked scream brought him back. Jem groaned slowly. He shivered. It felt as is someone dumped a bucket of frozen water on him and left him outside with nthing to warm him
''Hey! You're back. Are you okay? You just started shaking and you-your eyes, th-they just went dim a-and I-I thought we-we'd lost you, and-''
Jem interrupted his stressed-out friend.
''Hey, I'm here now. I'm fine. Though I wouldn't say no to a sweater...''
Leo smiled slightly and hugged Jem.
Jem smiled. He'd needed that. A lot. It felt good to finally let out his restrained feelings.
Jem looked behind him, where Gary, Eliot and Lara stood uncertainly. Jem gave an encouraging smile, trying to tell them he was okay. All three looked relieved. They headed over him and asked him if he was okay. Jem nodded.
He wasn't even lying. He really felt better. Even he was surprised.
Well, he was feeling better, but then the almost bald guard entered the basement.
''Hello. What time is it? Noon? Oh, right, you're stuck here, you don't know. Hahaha!''
Jem looked at Leo, trying to see if he should laugh too, but then he saw Leo cringing. Hard.
He decided not to laugh.
''Anyways, it's time.''
The five prisoners looked at each other, clueless. Gary was the first, and only, to speak up.
''Time for... What?''
The bald man looked at him and flashed at malevolent smile.
''You'll see.''
Then, he took a knife out of his pocket and laughed.
***
Jem looked around him, but he couldn't see anything. Black was all there was. He remembered hearing screams, groans and whines and then, nothing. Oh, yeah, he remembered the carateristic metallic smell of blood.
He was afraid.
Actually, afraid was an understantement. He was terrified, petrified. He'd been brought to this dark piece with no light. He couldn't stop wondering about what happened to the others. He felt selfish too, because, most importantly, he wondered what would happen to him.
All there was left to do was wait.

Yeah well that was a small chapter. But that's all you're gonna get today. Sorry not sorry. Anyways, I hope you liked this *small* chapter.
