❝Ronnie and I are very friendly with the Kennedy Family. Most people don't know about the friendship between him and Teddy. Ronnie was so identified with the Republican Party and Teddy was of course a democrat. But that shouldn't make any difference. Teddy had invited us to the family house in McClain. He asked Ronnie to speak at the library. Of course Ronnie did so very happily and conducted a fundraiser. Jackie and I had always been close friends. We met when Ronnie was governor at a  Campaign stop in New York. We would send Christmas Cards back and forth. When Ronnie did the fundraiser for the library, we invited Jackie and the children to come stay at The White House for the weekend and they did. Ethel is a very kind and caring soul like her husband was. I'm sure that's what bought both of them together. I didn't formally meet her until Ronnie presented the RFK medal to her in the White House Garden. We got to talking, I gave her a quick tour of The White House and we've been friends ever since. Out of all of the Kennedy Children, I am the closest to and most fond of Arabella. I call her my adopted daughter because well.. that's basically what she is. She's a perfect mix of both of her parents. She has her father's determination and skill. In times of crisis, she shows the most similarity to Jackie. She handles it with courage and grace. I know she'll do whatever she can to carry on her father's legacy. All she wants to do is make him proud. I believe she has a bright future ahead and may help change America for the better..❞
