Kiss Already! Part 1

Rainbow sat in the cafeteria with Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie all having a small conversation about random things nothing in particular just something to pass the time until Sunset and Twilight came from their science class for a meeting. The athlete groaned inwardly having to listen to another story about Pinkie Pie and her evil confetti canon, that seemed to pop out of no where, but her attention was suddenly drawn to the blonde that sat across from her. Literally the only girl that could keep up with her in almost everything as well as make her heart feel like she was running a mile a millisecond using her sonic speed, she sighed feeling as if her best friend was WAY out of her league. Rarity glanced over at Rainbow and rolled her eyes, she had caught both Applejack and Rainbow randomly stare at one another with something more than friendship in their eyes, Applejack whenever Rainbow was talking about something that made her excited or Rainbow whenever AJ would have to use her super strength for something. Lately she's noticed the two just stare at one another whenever the other wasn't looking but it was different, Rainbow has a look of longing in her eyes as if she wanted to do something while Applejack looked at her as if she was in love with the speed demon. It wasn't just Rarity that noticed either, practically the whole school knew including the teachers it seemed as if everyone wanted the two to kiss already or even just start dating. Rarity sighed watching Rainbow turn back to the conversation when Applejack turned to look at her with confusion in her eyes, she turned to Fluttershy, who had the same look on her face when Zephyr was around, she was one of the ones that desperately wanted the two together already she and a few other students even created a shipping club where their new topic was what they called Appledash and they were always on the look out for Appledash moments much like everyone else but they were on a stalker level at this point.

"And then! Next thing I know! CAKE CAME FLYING AT ME FROM MY CANON!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?"

"Yes Pinkie darling we can actually believe it seeing as how you hide candy in your hair"

Pinkie was in the middle of pulling out a wrapped candy bar before she put it back smiling sheepishly.

"But Rarity! It's so effective!"

"I can see how hiding snacks in your hair can be effective but isn't it kind of hairy?"

The hyper girl turned to her sporty friend giggling in her usual bubbly manor.

"Not when you wrap it silly"

Rainbow burst into laughter as she gave Pinkie a high five much to Applejack's delight, she loves seeing the athlete smiling or even a grin. Rarity has to resist the urge to grab her hair and pull as she watched her two closest friends practically dance around each other, it was almost as if they continued to chase each other but as soon as one of them got close enough they'd turn and resume the chase. At this point, Rarity was tired of this game of cat and mouse. She grabbed Rainbow's arm pulling her out of her seat and practically dragging her out the lunch room, of course not missing the glare thrown at her by Applejack. Rainbow caught herself on the door before she hit the ground, her head shot up looking at the fashionista like she was crazy.

"What the hell Rarity?!"

"Oh hush darling I need to talk to-"

Rainbow interrupted her with a sneer as she got in her face.

"I could've fell in front of Applejack again"

"Rainbow you always fall and hurt yourself"

"Yeah but it's embarrassing when it's in front of her"

Rarity folded her arms raising a perfectly arched brow at the athlete, causing Rainbow to blush realizing what she just admitted to. She began stuttering about nonsense, rubbing the back of her neck as her face turned redder by the second. Rarity sighed a smile on her face, she only hoped Pinkie was having better luck with AJ, although it wasn't planned, she knew the overly hyper girl was talking with her.

"what's with the glare Jackie?"

Applejack glared at her friend only making her giggle, which she rolled her eyes at.

"Ah' told ya' not ta' call meh that and ah' wasn't glarin' at Rarity fer draggin' Rainbow laike a toy"

Pinkie giggled again pulling out a sucker from her hair, unwrapping it as she popped it in her mouth. Applejack huffed trying to hide behind her hate.

"You sure you weren't glaring at her? You looked like you wanted to strangle her for touching your Dashie!"

"She ain't maine's Pinkie...."

The thought alone was enough to make her heart drop into her stomach, hell it felt like she was just kicked in the stomach. She never thought she'd want to be with someone this bad and seeing Rarity practically drag off the girl in her dreams caused her to feel a spark of hatred in her gut towards the fashionista. Pinkie leaned towards her resting her chin in her hand.

"You can't lie to me Jackie....actually you can't lie at all"

She giggled seeing her cousin blush at that before poking her nose smiling.

"Why don't you just tell her?"

"What's so hard about telling her darling? It's not that hard you know"

Rainbow huffed grunting a little, she looked away hiding her eyes behind her bangs.

"Looks it's not easy to tell someone you like that you think you're in love with them"

Rainbow seemed to shrink back a little, looking like a small child getting scolded for something they did wrong. Rarity smiled not realizing the athlete was capable of complex feelings like other human beings, which she had no trouble with voicing.

"Oh my! I had no idea one of your....kind can have emotions"

Obviously she was only teasing but Rainbow shot a defensive look at her pushing off from the wall to come face to face with her, yet again.

"Oi! I have emotions! Especially for Applejack, she's the most kind hearted, hard working-"

"Loyal, brave, stubborn, cute, athletic-"

"Did you just call Rainbow cute?"

Applejack blushed heavily deciding to ignore her for that one blushing a bit before shaking her head continuing to count off her fingers naming everything she could off the imaginary list she made about the girl she was crazy about.

"Oh! an' 'er eyes are jus'-"

"Like have you seen them?! They shine so bright when she happy and I swear in the right lighting they sparkle!"

Rarity was even more astonished just hearing her talk about the cowgirl like she was some kind of queen to her.

"So what do you see her as?"

Rainbow smiled having a dreamy look in her eyes.

"I see her as-"

"She's a goddess ta' meh an' ah' sure wouldn't maind worshippin' 'er ever eh day"

Pinkie looked at her smiling before texting the others except for Rainbow.

Pinkie: 'We're getting them together!!!!!'

Rarity returned flipping her hair over her shoulder putting innocent smile on her face. Applejack held back a grunt but soon smiled when she saw Rainbow walking back in face slightly flushed from blushing but she blushed harder when she held eye contact with her. AJ smirked at her causing her to lower her head when she sat down blushing heavily. She hated and loved it when AJ smirked like that. It was a huge turn on. This interaction wasn't missed either. Rarity and Pinkie rolled their eyes at the two.

Twily: 'we are? When?'

Sunny: 'about time have you seen those two?'

Shiny: 'there's so much tension between the two'

Cute Bunny: 'you mean sexual tension'

Rarity and Pinkie looked at each other surprised that Fluttershy of all of them said that. Rarity sighed. This was going to be an interesting week.
