barefeet on freshly cut grasses
and some of her milk teeth still present
in summer shorts & tiny sunglasses
with an unknown bird's chirps, so pleasanteyebrows almost touching in concentration
movements that match a hunter
there's a thud and the dance of celebration
but it flew away, leaving her in wondershe tries a hundred times with no success
a dirty little yellow bucket in hand
but she still tries to catch one nonetheless
at last, one got stuck along with some sandeyes lit with happiness and joy
laughing at me for she has just won the bet
shaking the insect like a toy
while i look at the dragonfly, feeling upsetmy sister's eyes finally fall on my frown
rolling her eyes, she opened the lid
off flew the dragonfly in the air of the town
understood what i meant, that naughty kidputting aside my poetry pages, i stood up
for she has started to catch tiny butterflies
held her ear & she made the face of a pup
laughing at her, i stared at the dragonfliesflying freely in the air without any fear
without someone to catch hold of them
those sweet dragonflies...- SweetSimu.
