oh, he was wearing the mask of innocence
but his black shirt said something opposite
behind that facade, i couldn't see those sly eyes
of all the damsels in distress, i was his favourite
but they blamed me for not wearing a mask myself
it was not him, as they say bluntly, i got hurt myselfoh, i tried to hide my feelings in the cage of my face
he never saw the tears past my halfhearted smiles
he was wearing a mask of a victim to hide himself
that haunts my dreams even from all those miles
but they say i was playing the victim for attention
they didn't see his fake mask begging for attentionoh, he was the alcohol in a sober outfit of an angel
promising to take me to the place we all call heaven
i remembered him for an eternity but he forgot me
he wasn't there when i heard the chaos and sirens
but it wasn't him, wearing the false mask of love
it was, as they all still say, my silly belief in loveso, why do they look at me now that they see him
why are they begging for mercy after their crime
don't know the real pain unless you go through it
they didn't see his fake mask when there was time
now that they went through the same, they realised
now that he went through the same, he realisedoh, even the best mask does not survive
the test of life...- SweetSimu.
