an apology letter

dear brain,
i'm sorry for overwhelming you
i'm sorry for pushing you
right to the edge,
refusing to listen to your counsel,
all for the sake of success.
only to bask
in the thrill
of feeling productive.

dear body
i'm sorry for disrespecting you.
i'm sorry for expecting so much
on the human form.
allowing you to feel every ache
and every pain
of being on an insane drive.
treating you like an indestructible cyborg,
that can take on anything
when all and all,
you are not an immortal goddess.
granted with all the power,
to take on everything.
and that in itself
is okay.

dear spirit,
i am sorry for breaking you.
i am sorry for applying unrealistic expectations.
bashing you to the ground when they are not met,
refusing to accept any error or mistake
and wondering why i swing
to feeling so desolate
so neurotic
so worn.

dear me,
i'm sorry for the self made destruction
and i swear i'll love you better.
