I hate picking sides
in the conflicts around me.you see,
situations as complex
full of hidden instincts
insecurities once hugged close,
risen to the surface.
morals of good, neutral and bad.I believe in the spectrum of greys,
rather than black and white issuesbut i see many slot quickly
into the mechanics of societies,
picking one extreme over the other.
swift jumps onto popular opinion.
relationships with a noxious tinge.
seething spirits.
false smiles.
closed minds.people point fingers
at one another.
before even taking one moment
to introspect and reflect.and it saddens me
that people concrete themselves
in self absorbed conclusion,
blind of perspective.I'm tired of trying to add dimension
to one sided dramas.
only to be closed off,
for simple suggestion
of a different angle.mediation is exhausting
and sometimes i wish
i wasn't the one
people easily find trust in.
the one stuck in the middle of warfare,
trying to keep things in balance.the only one pressing
to know the entire story,
caring enough to gather
every human perspective
when most refuse to consider it.
