Chapter 5: Prototype part 1

AMY ROSE'S POV

I woke up to the sound of the ocean and breathing. I tried to shift when I felt something wrapped around me. I looked at my waist and saw an arm wrapped around it. I then look above my head and saw Shadow softly sleeping.

I smiled at the fact he was holding me protectively.

He then smirked. "Enjoy starring at me Rose?" He said which scared me for a minute. "How long have you been awake?" I asked him.

He then opened his eyes and started to prop himself up on his elbow. "Just woke up to you moving from my grip." I sat up and stretched then stood up.

Shadow then sat up and reached in the bag and grabbed two apples and handed me one. "Eat up, we are beginning the search once I come back." He said as he stood up. "Where are you going?" I asked him as he pulled his Chaos Emerald out.

He chuckled. "Unless you want your clothes wet, I'm going to get swimming gear from my house in Station Square." He said teleporting away.

I finish my apple and took my boots and socks off and went to the shore and walked in the water. Once the water was up to the middle of my shin I let the waves crash against my legs. For a minute I let the memories flow in my head but stop when I get to the moments Sonic was there.

The moments I tried to get him on a date with me or when he did. I shook my head and walked back to the blanket.

SHADOW'S POV

I got two things of scuba gear and teleported back to Amy. I saw her siting on the blanket drawing designs in the sand. I carefully looked over her shoulder and saw the design. it was a broken heart with that Faker's name in it. "What a jerk," I said as Amy jumped and hit my chin with her shoulder.

"OW!" "SHADOW!" she said wiping the broken heart and turning towards me. " You scared me!" she said as I rubbed my chin.

"I have the gear," I said giving it to her as she slipped it over her dress she always wore. I put mine on and we walked towards the shoreline and dived in.
