Leaves are dancing in circles outside. The scarlet red hues that decorate the trees give me such a feeling of nostalgia. Fall has always been my favorite season. The cool air nips my cheeks and I shudder into my hoodie."Cold? Do you want my scarf?" Namjoon suggests.
"No no you keep it! I'm okay. We're almost there anyway". I said politely.
The long winding road lays out before us. Smooth, shiny, pink pebbles decorate the ground and I kick a few to the side.
"Hey so, I've been meaning to talk to you about something Daeji." He says shyly.
"Oooooh, is it a deep confession about your profound love for me and how you can't live without me another second! " I tease.
"You've been watching way too many dramas girl." He chuckles. "No, but I want you to come with me on my family camping trip! It's super fun! We usually rent out some ATV's and rent a log cabin and all that." His eyes shine brilliantly.
"That sounds really cool! I'll ask my mom and let you know. " I chuckle nervously.
He was pretty loaded. His father was a doctor and his mother was a writer. They had this intimidating house and huge property. I always admired them. I came from a smaller neighborhood and my family was average. They were such a beautiful family. Though sometimes I felt small in their presence.
At the end of the winding road, atop the huge green hill sat their home. It still took my breath away every time I saw it. Three stories of white marble and huge cascading glass. It was elaborately decorated inside. Everything fresh, new and calming.
We made our way inside and up to his den. Namjoon's room was super cool and dorky too. One side was decorated with cool marvel figurines and everything superhero and the other was all cutting edge technology. You could say he had a thing for music.
I throw my backpack on the bed and make myself at home. I sit cross legged hugging a pillow gingerly. "So what do you do at this camp?" I ask curiously.
"Well for one thing, you can paddle on the lake! My personal favorite is to bike ride along the Han river. It's so calming. "
"That sounds so nice! I really hope mom says I can go." I sigh.
"I don't see why not! We will take great care of you. I promise I won't let you drown or anything. " he jokes.
I throw a pillow at him and chuckle. "I hope not! You know I'm a terrible swimmer!"
"Daeji! Stop throwing stuff!" He gasps as he launches a stuffed figurine at me.
I catch it and launch it so fast he didn't even see it coming. It ricochets off his head and bounces onto the floor. "I'm going to get you now!" He says as he lunges toward me.
I can't even scramble to my feet before I'm pinned on the bed. Helpless.
"I told you I would get you. " he boasts sultrily. He has a firm hold on my wrists but forgets that my legs are definitely way stronger.
My tiny frame slithers from his grasp and I flip my legs around so that I can break free. I turn over and pin him to the mattress taking him by surprise.
"Are you sure about that Namjoon?" I say devilishly. A glint of wildfire in my eyes. My competitive side emerging.
He blushes, completely blind sided by the fact that I just beat him. "Daeji!" He whines. "No fair!" He never realized how competitive you really were. He felt a faint flutter in his stomach.
I laugh and fall to the floor looking up at you. "Man, I guess you should take these self defense classes with me huh? That was pitiful."
Namjoon looks at you below him as he replies, "In your dreams! You probably just want me to spot you as you practice." He says cockily.
"Uh gross! I'd rather kick your ass instead."
**She flashes her toothy smiled grin and it makes my stomach flutter again. Her smile was so contagious so I couldn't help but grin back. Something about her lately was catching your eye but you didn't know why. You never looked at her as anything other then your best friend. Lately, she just kept leaving you awestruck but you wouldn't dare let her know. You couldn't. You didn't want to risk the relationship. Besides, he enjoyed being your friend the most.
