Daeji

Two hours passed by after I had found myself nodding off in Namjoon's comfy Jeep. I was dreaming about what the Han River looked like. I imagined cherry blossom trees and crystal clear waters. The surrounding trees all turning shades of scarlet and golden yellow. I ran in between the trees giggling and desperately trying to get away from someone. I yelped as I was quickly tackled and pinned to the ground. I grinned as a familiar voice doted, "I guess I finally got you huh Daeji?" He cradled me into his chest and moved a piece of hair out of my face. I looked up and blushed as he crept closer to my face. Nearly inches away from my lips.. he leaned in...and a snort jolted me from my dream.

I yelp looking around frantically and tried to remember where I was. I look over at Namjoon laughing wildly in the drivers seat.

"What you dreaming about over there? You started to drool a little. I never knew you drooled?!" He teased.

As I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand, "HA HA very funny. You gave me a heart attack with your horse squeal you call a laugh. " I deadpan. As I start to recollect pieces of my dream it gets a little fuzzy. My face visibly distraught as I try to recall it.

"Don't hurt yourself Ms. Feisty. We're almost to the cabin!" He says excitedly.

I stretch deeply my hands and legs elongating toward the sky. I yawn. What a great nap I thought. I get butterflies as he mentions the river. Something triggering my memory in flashes. Running..Getting pinned down..the close call kiss. My face becomes a furnace and my cheeks dimpled red. I've never had a dream about Namjoon before. I look over at him and he raises his eyebrows so I quickly look out the window.

The river is just how I dreamed it would look. Nothing could compare to the serenity it brought me though and I was in awe. It calmed my nerves in an instant.

"I could see why you love this place. It's so beautiful," I gasp. Unaware of Namjoon boring his eyes into me.

A few minutes later, we arrive at the camp site and the cabin is an understatement. It's more like a mansion! Two floors, glass and wood elements, it looked like a home away from home. I could hardly contain my excitement and I jumped out of the car. I ran around to the trunk pounding on the door to open it and I grabbed my bags.

Namjoon sped around and said jokingly, " Ms. Pretty lady may I help you with your bags?"

"Absolutely sir. To the second floor please in a room with the best view!" I tease in my best British accent. Namjoon loved British accents and I just so happened to be great at them. I acted like a grandiose wealthy woman and turned my nose up in charade.

"Wow you're getting pretty good at that accent! Watching some Harry Potter again?" He chuckles.  "Come on and follow me. Welcome to heaven!"

Two flights and some back breaking sweat later we finally reached the second floor. I was easily distracted by anything that shines so I was downstairs for quite a while. Everything was so delicately decorated. White linen and soft grey and lavender accents filled the beautiful cabin. Portraits of the Kim family hung in the dining area and I couldn't take my eyes off of one. Namjoon was so small and adorable. His dimples so prevalent as he held his parents proudly wearing a gold medal around his neck. I smiled at the view.

"That's when I won my first spelling bee. My parents knew I had a gift for words and always encouraged me. I had so much fun that day. " Namjoon smiled. The same doting smile that made my heart jump a bit.

"You're adorable when you smile Namjoon. I love it." I bravely state.

Namjoon turned a slight shade of pink and was at a loss for words.

"Come on silly take me to my room I'm getting impatient!" I take Namjoons hand and pretend to lead the way.

The staircase we took spiraled up the middle and led to the den on the top floor. Namjoon pushed his way through the French doors and to a beautiful room made of mostly windows. I loved that you could see the sky.

"This is your room Princess. I made sure mom and dad gave you the best room in the house." Namjoon boasted.

My jaw gaped open. "Oh n-no Namjoon. I'm — this is so much. I could just crash on the couch. You could sleep here!" I stuttered. Blushing and cussing at myself for sounding ungrateful. "I'm very grateful for this offer though."

"You're the guest Daeji and you deserve it! Take the room. " Namjoon pushes.

You give in and throw the bags onto your newfound bed. I look at him then back to the bed and smile devilishly. I run into a leap and jump into the bed of pillows landing into a soft cloud. I grab a pillow and clutch it to my chest smelling the fresh laundry. I sat up quickly.

"Thank you Namjoon. So what's on the agenda for today?" I ask curiously.

"Hmm, well usually my family just gets settled in for the first day and we have a campfire roast at the end of the night. Care to join us?" He asks hand outstretched. "I was thinking we could go sightseeing before hand."

"Yeah let's do it!" I agree.
