Marinette's POV

It had been about a week since Ms. Ari noticed my design. She had asked me to use it as my practical assignment, one of the most important ones in that class. The good news was that I had time, and that I didn't have to draw something else. The bad news were that my dress was so difficult to make! I wanted to do really well on that design, so I ended up making something out of a dream. It would be so hard to bring something like that to life. I hadn't even begun and I was already getting stressed.

In the mean time, Adrien had gone in London for the weekend. Luxuries of being a model. That meant I had the dorm for myself.

I had invited Alya and Nino to come over tonight. The original plan was to figure out the materials I needed and the best way of stitching this dress together, finish before it got dark and then cook something for us to eat. But that plan went sideways when I fell asleep and woke up 20 minutes before we scheduled.

“Why did this have to happen to me?” I mumbled as I cleaned the place a bit.

“I'm an organised person! I always have a plan and order, so nothing should ever go wrong!”

The clock was ticking and now I only had 10 minutes left. I hated myself for not cooking proper food for my friends, but there was simply no time. I had to use all the snacks we had. Potato chips, Cheetos, pop corn and some candy we bought for Halloween. Yeah we didn't really think that one through. Like the fact that they don't let kids inside the perimeter

So I opened the bags and poured the guilty pleasures into some bowls, then set them on the living room table.

Soon, my doorbell rang, meaning my friends had come. However when I opened the door I was quite shocked to find another blonde girl standing at my doorstep.

“Chloe?!” I exclaimed.

“Wow, you haven't changed at all since middle school!” She commented and made her way in.

“Sure, come right in." I said quietly. “What are you doing here?”

She looked around, almost as if judging the place. Then she looked back at me.

“I have information that Madison Delcour is attending this University.” She said in a colourless tone of voice.

“Okay...” I mumbled, still not knowing why she was here.

“Is it true?”

I gulped. Why would Chloe want to know where Madison was? This was bad no matter how you looked at it.

“She's here.” I said.

“That Bitch!”

I turned to look at her with wide eyes. What did the devil in platforms do to her?

“So you do know her.” I said, urging her to explain.

“Yes. Her mother and my father were... Good friends I suppose. Madison and I used to hang out until she... She tried to get my mom out of the picture so she could become my sister in law.”

As much as I hated it, I wasn't surprised. This was exactly the kind of thing Madison would do.

“But of course, she failed and disappeared here, into her studies.” She said with disgust.

“I hate her too. She's worse than you and I thought that wasn't possible.” I said, making her growl at me.

But there was still one question left unanswered.

“So, again, why are you here? Are you planning some kind of revenge on her?”

“I'm here to teach her a lesson.”

At that exact time, my doorbell rang. Alya and Nino had arrived.

“Who is this?” Chloe asked.

“Oh no! Quick Chloe! Hide in the closet!” I said, pushing her towards it.

“Why? Who is it?”

“Some of your many classmates that never liked you.”

“What do you mean they didn't like me? Everyone likes me!” She said as I pushed her into the closet.

“Be quiet.” I said.

Next I ran towards the door to find a partly worried and partly annoyed Alya, and Nino.

“You deaf or something? What took you so long?” She asked.

“Sorry! I was in the bathroom.” I lied.

It was convenient enough to be believable.

“So... What's the plan for tonight?” Nino asked.

“Well, I was thinking the usual.” I answered.

“You mean pizza, a boring movie that Alya's going to love and falling asleep?”

Alya punched Nino slightly but they laughed it off.

“But wait girl. How are you? Any news?” She asked.

“Um, not really. Just the same. I've been working on the dress a lot.”

“Has Madison bugged you?”

“No, surprisingly. Whatever ms. Ari told her must have been enough to keep her away.” I answered.

“Thankfully! That girl is worse than Chloe I swear.”

My smile faltered. It was such a simple and normal thing to say. Or at least it would have been if the said Chloe wasn't hiding in my closet. And then she kicked the door open and emerged.

“How could you compare that bitch to me?! I am much nicer than her! I'm the nicest person in the world!”

I slapped my forehead, while Nino and Alya were just looking shocked at the obvious blonde. Cat's out of the bag I guess.

“Uh, Marinette. I think I'm hallucinating. Are you seeing a blonde demon in this living room?”

“Unfortunately you're not dreaming Alya.” Nino answered.

“Well, this is kind of a reunion. Welcome back Chloe.”
