Chapter One: Gravity Falls

I ran through the forest, loving the crunches of leaves underneath my feet. Until the forest seperates into an opening, with a giant sign. "Welcome to Gravity Falls..." I read aloud. "Huh. Sounds cool." I said, adjusting my F/C backpack. It held all of my stuff that I'd managed to retrieve from my old house. I heard laughter coming from inside the woods of Gravity Falls. I smiled. Perhaps other children for me to become friends with...? I mustn't get my hopes up too high. I started heading towards the laughter, when I tripped and rolled down the hill. I mentally facepalmed, because I couldn't physically facepalm, because I was rolling down a hill. I crashed into a tree, and since I'm such a weakling, I blacked out. But I do remember a voice. It sounded like a girl.

I woke up in a wooden room, that was extremely messy. I sat up and reached for my backpack. It wasn't there. I scrambled around, trying to find it. "Hi!" A girl said, startling me. "Oh, sorry to scare you!" The girl apologized. "It's alright. I'm not used-" I started to say, still looking around for my backpack. "Mabel, she's awake!" A boy said. I yelped and curled up into a ball. "Oh my gosh! I'm sorry!" The boy said, reaching for my hand. I uncurled for a ball. "Hi. Welcome to the Mystery Shack. My name's Dipper, and this is my twin sister, Mabel." The boy said. "I'm Y/N. It's nice to meet you." "Um, I guess you were looking for this? My uncle almost sold it." "My backpack!" I said, snatching it from Dipper. He had a pained expression. "Oh. Sorry, Dipper. I'm not used to other people. Um, thank you." I said. "Want to make a deal?" I looked through my backpack and gave Dipper a pencil that had a pine tree eraser on it, just like his hat. I also gave Mabel a sheet of unicorn stickers. "I hate unicorns." Mabel said. "Then use the rainbows." I snapped. "So, um, thanks?" Dipper said. "You're welcome. Now, in trade for those things, you two have to be my friends!" Dipper whispered something to Mabel. "Alright, but from now on you get a nickname." Dipper finally announced. "What?" I questioned. "Cipher."
