School. Scarlett couldn't always stand school, but she loved when the little gang hung out in the student lounge it's her favorite time of day.
"It's this quintessential rite of passage, making out with your boy or girlfriend at the movies." Kevin sighs sitting on the couch opening his candy bar.
"Why don't we go together? I can't promise you any action, but maybe I'll bring you good luck." Veronica tilts her head towards Kevin and he smiles slightly looking towards Scarlett.
"Great... what about you scar? Hot date?" Kevin asks intently
"Hot date to what?" Scarlett looks between V and Kev.
"To closing night at the drive in! You absolutely have to come no will not be excepted." Veronica says
"Another night, another hag." Kevin says as Cheryl walks into the room interrupting them before Scar could say a word.
"Speaking of hags Veronica, it's so devastating to me that your mother has to sink to such unspeakable lows just to keep those knockoff Hermes bags on your arm. What's next, selling her hair extensions?" The red haired girl spits out.
"My mom's a waitress, Cheryl, not Fantine.
And your faux concern reeks of ulterior motive.
What is it?" Veronica raises a brow"Only to remind you of your place in this school, nay, the town's social hierarchy." Cheryl says back
"Threatened much? Don't worry. You may be a stock character from a '90s teen movie, but I'm not. And what does any of this have to do with my mom being a waitress?" Veronica stands up looking Cheryl dead in the eyes
"It's just that I saw her talking to a Southside Serpent last night, in the alley behind Pop's.
They were having an extremely heated, intimate discussion." Cheryl says as Kevin and Scarlett stand next to V waiting for the proof. "See for yourself." Cheryl pulls her phone out showing a photo. It was definitely Veronica's mom and the man.. Scarlett could make him out as clear as day. Fp.Cheryl smirks, leaving everyone speechless, and leaves the room.
"Who or what is a Southside Serpent?" Veronica turns around waiting for answers from Kevin.
"They're this gang of bikers who pretty much stays on the south side of town. And thank God, 'cause they're sort of dangerous. Drug dealers and petty thieves." Kevin looks between the two girls.
"Then what was my mom doing with one of them?"
The bell rings and the teens pick up their bags.
"If you need anything call me." Scarlett puts her hand on Veronica's shoulder to comfort her and Kevin follows her lead doing the same.
"Thanks guys. I'll see you tonight." Veronica walks out of the room. Kevin and Scarlett turn to each other and sigh before walking to class together.
"Jughead." Scarlett smiles at the boy taking her seat.
"Scarlett." The boy nods his head grinning at her
"Did you hear about this drive in closing thing that's happening tonight?" She looks to him
Jughead has no response. He just picks up a pile of fliers next to him.
"Oh so you're the one putting those everywhere?"
"Yup.. I figured if it's going to go away.. forever. Why not one last hurrah."
"Out with a bang.. I like it... would you like to join V, Kevin, and I?"
