(Nebula's P.O.V)
I was only 10 years old when I had to live with my older brother Joshua.
My Mom and Dad passed away in a car accident. Both of them were pastors in the church I grew up in. So being the pastor's kid, I was able to help out a little bit. I mostly watched the younger kids. Like, 5 years and younger.
Joshua was a big businessman and traveled at lot. I only got to see him during the holidays. I hardly knew him. He moved away when I was 4 years old.
Right now I'm walking home from school. My uncle Steven will be worried if I don't get home in time for dinner. My best friend Max is walking with me. Uncle Steven wasn't really my uncle, he was Max's Dad. They were taking care of me till Joshua comes to get me.
"So when is your brother coming to get you?" Max asked.
"He said sometime this week when I talked to him last." I answered.
Max was two years older than me. He'll be going to high school year after next. But he promised to come pick me up and walk me home after school. Well, at least that was what we were going to do, until my parents passed away.
Max was like a big brother. He was always watching over me and still does. It's going to be hard to leave this place.
As I was thinking about what I still needed to pack, I noticed I had already started walking up my driveway. "Uncle Steven, we're home!" I yelled as I walked in. Uncle Steven came out of the kitchen with a cup of tea. Uncle Steven owned a teashop in town and always gave me a cup of the new tea he gets. "What kind of tea is this uncle Steven?" I brought the cup to my mouth.
"It's an African fruit tea." He answered. I took a sip, it had a natural sweet taste.
"Mm. It taste really good. I have a feeling this one will become popular in the shop." I said with a smile. Uncle Steven smiled back, then went back to the kitchen.
After I finished my tea I went up to my room to do my homework.

"Nebula! Time for dinner!" Uncle Steven called. I looked up from my math and looked at my clock. I looked back down at the math problem I was working on. 3(3+x)+5(6-3) (I'll just finish it when I'm done with dinner.) I thought and got up and headed down stairs to the dinning room. "So was school you two?"
"Momo got in a fight today." Max answered. I looked over at him with wide eyes.
"What!? He got in another fight?..... That's the fourth one this week." I said. Max nodded his head. Momo was Max and mines Japanese friend. He was in between our ages.
"Yeah. He told me that someone wasn't being to kind to the new kid, so he stood up to the bully, and ended up getting into a fight." Max said.
I was very blessed to have friends like Momo and Max. They are always looking out for others. "What about you Neb?" Max asked.
"I got an A+ on my history test today." I answered. Max smiled and so did uncle Steven.
"I just know you're gonna do great in Chicago Nebula." Uncle Steven said with a smile.

After dinner, I was helping with the dishes when my phone started ringing. I pulled it out and flipped it open.
"Hello."
"Hey Nebula. I'm on my way right now. I'm gonna stay the night, is that alright with your guardian?"
