Chapter 6 (A Trip with My Brother part 2)

Nebula's P.O.V)

After a while of waiting, Joshua finally got off work and came to pick up me and Bones.

"Thank you for letting me tag a long with you and Nebula Mr. Johanson." Bones said as we were going down the highway. I giggled a little at how nervous he was being around Joshua like this.

"It's not a problem. I didn't know you and your friend lived in the same apartment building as Nebula and I." Joshua said looking at him the rear-view mirror. "What's your father's name? I just might know him, from what you have told me."

"My father's name is Keith Gardner." Bones answered. I looked at Joshua because he wasn't answering. "Well....Your dad and I are good friends. We started working at the company at the same time and have been friends ever since then." Joshua said with a smile on his face as he continued to drive.

After a little while, my phone started ringing.

"Hello."

"Hey Nebula! It's Jones. Have you seen Bones since he left school? I can't get a hold of him." Jones sounded really worried. (Those two must be really close to each other if he's calling me to see if he made it home okay or not.) I thought.

"Yeah. He's actually with me and Joshua."

"Okay, good....Wait what? Why is he with you and your brother?!" Jones yelled into the phone.

"Here. You talk to him." I said to Bones as I gave my phone to him from where I was sitting in the backseat.

"Hey Jones. I'm tagging a long with Nebula and her brother while they do a few things in town before they bring me home." Bones sounded so different than he did when I first met him a week ago. "Here's Nebula." Bones handed me back my phone and I answered.

"Anything else you need to know?" I asked Jones.

"You might wanna make sure you call his dad, and tell him he's with you guys. Other wise he's gonna be worried about him." I looked over at Joshua as we pulled into the parking lot of the mall. "Okay. Thanks for telling me. I'll let you know if anything comes up. Bye" I said then hung up. "Jones said that we might wanna call his dad to let him know we have his so he doesn't worry." Joshua looked at me and nodded.

"Yeah knowing Keith, he'll probably be mad at me if I don't tell him." Joshua said as he got his phone out and started calling Bones' dad. "Hey Keith....Yeah I've got him with me.....Apparently he's friends with Nebula....I'm letting him tag a long with us while I get Nebula some cloths for our trip to Japan.....Oh, don't worry. He'll be fine. I'll have him back by 7:00pm tonight.....Alright, you to. Bye"

"What did my dad say about me being with you and Nebula Mr. Johanson?" Bones asked.

"Your dad was starting worry a little bit about why you haven't come home yet, but he was okay with you being with us. He said to make sure we get you home by 7:00pm tonight." Joshua answered as he got out of the car. We went in and Joshua led us to a formal whare store.

"Hey Joshua. Why are we here?" I asked not really sure why we were here.

"I'm getting you something nice to whare while I'm at meetings." He answered as he had someone take my measurements.

"Why do I have to whare something like this while your in meetings? It's not like I'm gonna be there with you." I asked as I was handed clothes to try on.

"I'm not going to leave in an inn room while I'm somewhere else." He said as he walked me to the dressing room. "Just try these on and come show me when you have one on."

I went into the fitting room and put on a dark blue long sleeve dress and went to show Joshua. "What do you think of this one Joshua?" I asked as I stepped out and turned around.
