♡ Bake Sale ♡

"I don't see how baking cookies is helping us become stronger heroes." Todoroki mumbled, icing his cookie as perfectly as he did everything else in life. Midoriya watched the other boy grumble angrily over the freshly baked goods. He couldn't help but find it a little funny, even cute, to see such a serious person piping strawberry frosting out with that kind of extreme precision.

"It's a bake sale, Todoroki," Midoriya chirped. "It's for a good cause. We're helping raise money for disaster relief!" He beamed up at the other boy making Todoroki blush a little. Yaoyorozu and Ashida had been the masterminds behind this brilliant waste of a Saturday and had cleverly sectioned off everyone to man different stations.

By some force of fate, or maybe people had begun to catch on a bit, Momo put Todoroki and Midoriya in charge of icing the billions of cookies that Sato had baked.

"Don't you think a more hands on approach would be more helpful than selling cookies?' Todoroki piped light pink strawberry frosting onto a cookie. Midoriya looked up at Todoroki's one icy blue eye. He always looked so serious. Sure, training was necessary but they had to have at least one day off to relax, right?

"Just try and make it fun!" Midoriya giggled with no real reaction from Todoroki. "Here, look." He said, grabbing a white and red icing bag. Todoroki's eyes widened as he felt his face grow hot. Midoriya piped the red icing on one side and the white icing on the other.

"M-midoriya..." Todoroki choked out looking around to see if anyone else was watching. It wasn't that he cared if anyone found out about them but he preferred to keep his private life just that..private. Up until then, he and Midoriya had shared a few kisses here and there but nothing serious or public. Until they were able to figure out their feelings for each other he wasn't sure he wanted to let anyone else know.

"See, Todoroki! We can make it super fun if we really try! You just have to get creative." Todoroki felt a smile creep over his lips at the joy gleaming from the smaller boy's big, owl eyes. Even the simplest of things made Midoriya happy and it was because of that fact that Todoroki felt himself growing fonder of him with every passing day.

"It's great," He said, turning to grab a green icing bag, piping it to make his very own "Midoriya" cookie.

"Oh, wow, yours looks so much better than mine!" Midoriya mused.

"Well, I mean, I can't make it nearly as cute as you. But it'll do."

"Huh? You think I'm cute?" Midoriya jabbed an index finger at himself staring up at Todoroki with hopeful eyes.

"Well, I mean-" Todoroki felt his face start to heat up. He wasn't good at this sort of thing. Verbalizing his own emotions was a bit difficult he was better at physically showing it.

"Hey, are you two working over there?" Mina yelled from her spot across the common room.

"Oh yeah of course!" Midoriya waved a cookie spastically in her direction trying to cover up their little encounter. "So, Todoroki? When are you going to eat me?"

'What!?" Todoroki said, a bit too loud.

"Are you going to eat your Midoriya cookie?" He giggled an innocent little laugh but it made Todoroki wonder exactly how innocent the boy was. About a million naughty things passed through Todoroki's mind just then. Things he didn't even know he felt for the boy up until that very moment.

Todoroki peered around. Everyone else seemed to be entirely engrossed in their tasks. Momo and Uraraka were helping Sato mix the cookie batter. Kirishima was trying to drag Bakugou into the common room to help out. Everyone in their own little worlds.

Words weren't Todoroki's area of expertise but physical actions....

"You know what? How about this?" Todoroki placed the cookie half in his mouth and leaned down to Midoriya's level.

"To-" Was all Midoriya got to say before Todoroki popped the other end of the cookie into his mouth. Before he knew it Todoroki's soft lips were against his. The taste of the kiss mixing with the sugary icing was insanely intoxicating. It was a quick interaction, over before it even began, but it left both boys yearning for more.

Midoriya swayed a little bit, eyes half shut, cheeks rosy from both embarrassment and the heat of the kiss.

"How's that for making it fun?" Todoroki whispered, returning to his cookie work.

"That wasn't exactly what I had in mind but I can't complain. We should, uh, bake cookies more often!"

Author's Note:    So, there it is! My very first One Shot fanfic! I know it isn't much but I am playing around with it at the moment, trying to get a feel for my specific writing style and writing as these characters.
