Sasha and Bayley became inseparable. Bayley never wanted to leave Sasha’s side. She wanted to ‘protect Sasha at all costs.’ What Sasha wasn’t telling Bayley was that she was slowly weaning herself off of her medication. The voices got louder and she heard all six, she did hear Bayley’s voice too. Negatively.
She knew Bayley would never say the things she heard. Sasha just repeated what Bayley reminded her, “It’s not real and I love you.”
Sasha knew it wasn’t real but, that didn’t stop her from accusing Bayley of some things. No matter what Sasha did, there was nothing she could do to get Bayley to stop loving her.
They were once again at Bayley’s house. Bayley made them some food and they just talked about things while they ate.
“Sometimes I would see you talking but, hear a completely different voice cursing and judging me. But I know it’s not you talking because I know that you would never say such things to me.” Sasha says with a small smile on her face, Bayley returned a slight smile before looking down.
She continued to tell Bayley everything, she told me how the doctor said she is incurable.
“Yeah... he said I’m ‘crazy’ and can never be helped. As if I didn’t understand when he called me ‘crazy’..” Sasha whispers as she scoffed and continued to chew her food thoroughly.
“You’re not crazy. You know that right?” Bayley asks Sasha and she nods.
“Of course. You said so.” she whispers and Bayley smiles as she leans over and hugs her.
“Did you take your medication today?” Bayley asked her standing up from the couch and walking over to the television. Sasha swallowed again and Bayley turned around to look at her.
“Bayley, I have to tell you something..” Sasha says with a small smile on her face. Bayley knit her eyebrows together and walked back over to the couch.
“What? What is it? Sasha, you have to take your -” she cut Bayley off by placing a finger at her lips. Indicating Bayley to ‘shhh.’
“My mom decided to take me to a therapist to help. Slowly, I was weaned off of my medication and the voices started to fade... I heard one more voice. It was yours. It was positive. So, so positive.” Sasha admits and Bayley had tears in her eyes. She looked down and put her head in her hands. She looked back up a second later.
“Are you serious?” she asked with her voice cracking and Sasha smiled with her eyes beginning to water too. Sasha scoot closer and hugged Bayley tight.
“Yes. I am no longer taking medication.” Sasha whispered placing a hand on top of Bayley’s head, holding her tight.
“Sasha, why didn’t you tell me?” she asked getting off of her and wiping her eyes.
“I didn’t want to get your hopes up if it didn’t work. I no longer wanted something that tamed the voices. I wanted to voices gone. Forever.” Sasha admits and Bayley pulls her into a hug.
“God. Sasha.” Bayley says wiping more tears from her eyes, “I love you. So much. I’m so happy, I’m helping you. I love you.” Bayley adds about to hug Sasha but, instead Sasha kisses her instead. Bayley pulls away and Sasha smiles.
“You hug alot. You’re definitely a hugger.” Sasha says and Bayley smiles again. “You’re always so happy and so positive. I love you too.” Sasha replies.
Bayley remembered where there was a time when Sasha would suddenly shout at her and tell her was trying to kill her. Now, Sasha doesn’t hear voices anymore... as of right now. Hopefully, it doesn’t come back so, she can be happy.
