Weighty and hefty steps vibrated the ligneous flooring of the first floor. A figure walked lamely, leaning his body on the wall. The blonde kid yawned in lethargy. Rubbing his closed eyelids in hopes of opening them.
"Hm, I shouldn't have played games until four in the morning dattabasa. Now I'm having fatigue", He groused in regret. Stretching his arms outwards, his bones popped.
"Hello, Boruto"
Boruto became wide eyed and screamed his lungs out. The clamorous noise was heard downstairs. Sarada's head leaned on her supporting arm and sighed in a "so done" attitude.
"Mitsuki is doing it again. His signature way of greeting"
Hinata and Himawari giggled at her nonchalant self. Somewhat reminded Hinata of her friend, Sakura.
Horse like footsteps continued down the stairs, quivering. Finally, they appeared in their sight.
"Good morning mom", Boruto said as he ruffled his blonde strands. Then he saw Sarada with Himawari.
"Good morning, Himawari and Sarada"
"Good day to you too... Boruto", She replied back with eyes inherited by his Sensei. He gulped. Mitsuki and him occupied a seat each.
"Himawari, can you wake your father up, please?", Hinata asked gently as gushing surge of water plummet in the sink. The girl nodded and went to her father's office room. The door creaked open, revealing a languishing body on the counch as if it was plopped like garlic paste.
"Dad?"
As usual, he didn't bother waking up. Himawari peered at him with a mischievous smirk plastered on her face. She recalled a memorable lesson taught by her brother. She backed away and darted with a leap, landing on her father's core.
"KYAAAH! BORUTO!"
"Dad!", She called out. Eh?
"Ah no, don't be like Boruto, Himawari", He exclaimed in repentance, thinking that she might inherited his trait of being a trouble maker too. She got off and told him that mom called for breakfast. Himawari was about to leave, but she ceased when her father didn't budge.
"You okay, Dad?"
"Ah I'm okay. I'm going to get Kawaki. Hope he doesn't run away dattebayo"
He stomped up the stairs and walked through the hallway. Knocking on the door, he called.
"Kawaki, are you in there?"
No response. He knocked the door again.
"Kawaki"
The same thing again.
Without delay, he twisted the knob and pushed the door open. His eyes dilated and frantically moved inside, seeing the window unlocked.
"Hah?!"
Sticking his head outside, he yelled for Kawaki. Suddenly, he heard rustling underneath him. He glanced down and there he was, sitting on a bench at the back of their house with an unsmiling look.
Naruto sighed in relief, knowing that he didn't do anything troublesome. He leaped out of the window and landed before the boy. He sat beside him which made Kawaki a bit edgy. Naruto noticed that and gave a heartwarming smile. As warm as the radiating sun.
"No need to be tensed. You can ease up a bit since you're with us", He assured him while looking at the clear sky. Kawaki rolled his eyes and ridiculed. The words he said were similar to what Jigen has told him. Lies.
"If you find out where I come from, you're just going to send me back or do something to me"
Naruto looked at him worriedly.
