The area was bustling with people. Murmerings and mutters spread while rain was still pounding onto the muddy ground.

Sai and the others looked for clues about the sudden incident. Sai scrutinized and examined the location, gradually. Then, came Naruto.

"Ah, it's Lord Seventh!"

"Move aside, please dattebayo", He said gently, while squeezing through the crowd. When he made it to the front, he was absolutely paralyzed with shaken widen eyes as he saw Konohamaru's bloody body laid on a stretcher.

Afterwards, he then looked at the bench that was occupied by three sheltered people. Sarada crying, Boruto shaking with bloodshot eyes and Mitsuki stiffed in his position. They were interrogated by one of the Anbus.

"W-what is going on here dattebayo!?", Naruto yelled as he looked around at everyone. The pupil got frightened by his sudden outburst. They feared him. Naruto's orbs had a define definition of confusion and anger. Who could have done this?

While on the other hand, Sai ripped a bush in half, casually searching for evidence of the murder.

After that, he detected grains or fragments of sand near the bush. Scrutinizing the sand, he sprinkled them in a sealable plastic bag for further inspection.

He looked around the location and furrowed his brows in utter confusion. A marking was carved in a tree. The mark of the sand village.

"What is the meaning of this? Do they really intend us to find out?"

He thoughts clouded.

-

"So tell me again. How did the third Hokage's grandson get murdered?", A random Anbu member asked for the third time in annoyance.

"We told you! We don't know what happened. We were supposed to have training but we found him dead", Sarada explained shakily once again. Tear stain were visible on her face and her matured Sharingan remained.

"How about you? The son of the seventh"

Boruto just glared at him intensely. The member gulped as his Adam's apple descended and ascended after. Boruto leaped from his seat and dashed away.

"Boruto!", Sarada screamed. She was about to chase him, but Mitsuki stopped her from proceeding.

"Just let him be, Sarada"

She hesitated but eventually obeyed. Her eyes filled with worry.

Boruto bolted through the bustling streets of Konoha. Not stabling in looking his way forward, he bumped into many people and was jostled by the civilians. His eyes began to well up a second time as his feet batter the muddy, opaque ground.

Wiping his tears, he, without notice, tripped into a filthy puddle. His clothes were mud-caked and he became the grubby of a boy.

"Crap dattabasa!", He mumbled angrily. For some reason, he hadn't realised he wasn't feeling any rain. He instantly stared up and his eyes fixated. It was a balcony shielding him. Kurami's balcony.

Without a doubt, he leaped onto her balcony and opened the balcony door. Surprisingly, he was able to enter. Being the vigilant guy, he mindfully strode into her apartment.

The air was stirring. Not in term of excitement. Stirring as in mysterious coldness. A feeling of being in a foggy swamp. Or in something celestial.

He made one more step and that changed his perspective. His right eye began to pulsate and he groaned in agony.

Opening his eyes, his vision changed. That was the time he knew, he activated his Jougan, which he still calls it Byakugan.
