-1 week later-

I laid on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.

I feel nothing. Literally nothing.

"Hey Y/N? Someone called from the living room.

"Yeah?" I replied quietly.

"Your sister let me in on the way out-," Peter Parker said as he busted into my room. "Woah, what happened here?"

"I don't want to talk about it," I responded blankly, not breaking my gaze from the ceiling.

"Well are you ok?" He asked, sitting down beside me on my bed.

"No," I said after a moment.

"Alright. Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No."

"Do you still want to go out?"

"Not really."

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No," I answered quickly. "No, please stay. Don't leave me."

"...ok. Where's Peter?"

"Back where he lives for a few weeks."

"Cool."

We sat in silence, and I sighed.

Peter was playing with his thumbs, looking around the walls.

I felt a tear drip down my cheek, and wiped it away fast before he saw.

But he did.

"What was that?"

"Nothing," I said, looking him in the face.

"Are you crying?" He whispered.

"No, no I'm not."

"I don't know what to do, Y/N crying...this is weird."

"Shut up," I laughed lightly. "Can we actually go out? I need to get my mind off things."

"Yeah, yeah of course."

"I'll drive," I said, sitting up from my bed.

I walked over to my desk and grabbed the jacket that I threw there. Tonight Liz was throwing a party, so Peter and I had planned on going.

"Let's go," I said to him, and we left my apartment.

We got into my car, and I put the key in the ignition.

"Y/N," Peter spoke after a few minutes of us driving in silence.

"What?"

"What happened? It might help to talk to someone. You know, I've noticed you've been down for the past week."

"It's...it's nothing important."

"Are you sure?"

I bit my bottom lip, and ran my right hand threw my hair.

"Someone I know died," I smiled sadly, looking over at Peter.

"Oh. Were they important to you?"

"Uh, yeah. One of my friends from back home. My best friend's boyfriend, actually."

"What's his name?" he asked softly.

"Scott," I responded, chewing the inside of my lip.

"I'm sorry. It sucks to lose someone special."

"Have you? Lost somebody?"

"My parents. I went to live with my aunt and uncle after they died. And then my uncle Ben died, too."
