Chapter Five~ Not Quite a Board Game

My head was leaned against the glass window of Dana's car. My eyes focused on the beautiful lights. I don't know why they were pretty. They were mostly street lights after all. But some lights were from tall buildings and those were also also very nice.

       It had been about ten minutes since we left the park and Dana and Will were talking, But I wasn't really listening, Until Will reached up and nudged me. I sat up looking back at him. "What?"

       "What are you going to do when you get home?" Will asked.

       I was confused but answered anyway. "Just watch movies I guess." It was hard for me to sleep when I was alone. I guess I'm a needy person but it's just how I am. How i've always been. 'Why do you ask?"

         "Why don't I join you? I mean I have nothing to do tomorrow." Will smiled widely.

       "I don't see why not." I shrugged.

       "I'll stay too." Dana chimed in.

       "So you're inviting yourself now?" I couldn't help but laugh.

       "Well..." There was a pause. "Someone has to take Will home tomorrow."

       This made me laugh even more. "Nice excuse!"

       "It's not an excuse!" Dana smiled, glancing at me.

       There was that smile again. I couldn't help but smile.

       Sooner or later we reached my apartment building, we had stopped to get pizza on the way. When we got inside I placed the pizza on the counter and told the guys that everything they needed was in the kitchen. After that I went into my room to change into some pajama pants and a tank top, then taking my hair out of the pony tail it had been in all day.

       I took one last look around my room and noticed a board game that Eve and I used to play. I grabbed it hesitantly. I mean the guys might want to play it. Maybe. I made my way back out into the living room to find Will and Dana already eating.

       Dana's eyes immediately went to the box in my hands. "What's that?"

       I sat down on the floor and then opened the box. "It's a game that me and Eve used to play. I thought you guys might want to play it. All I can remember are the rules though." I moved the top on the box to the side and looked at the contents. It was all just cards. I guess it wouldn't be classified as a board game..

       "Yeah. lets play." Will said as he moved to sit next to me. "What are the rules"

       "I guess they aren't really rules. You just take five cards. Each card has a question. You pick one question out of the five that you have and a person of your choice has to answer it truthfully. Then once you have asked you place it question side down and take another from this pile." I explained as I placed a stack of card face down in the middle.

       Dana moved down too, So now we were sitting in a triangle. "How do you know if the person is making up another question then?"

       I shrug, "You don't." I passed out five cards to Will and Dana and took five for myself. After a bit of small talk we started the game. Dana was first. " Tye, what's your ideal first date?" He asked placing a card face down next to the pile of untouched cards.

       It took me a moment to answer this. " Something under the stars. It wouldn't even matter what else was happening. As long as it's under the stars it's fine. OR, or, just walking around the streets of LA. I mean i've barely even seen anything here and i've lived here for a while." I answered as honestly as I possibly could. To be honest I haven't been on a date in so long i had forgot what they were like.

       "Okay. Will, what's the most surprising thing that has happened to you in the last three years?" I asked placing down as card and Dana picked on up.

       "Well this fan asked if I would kiss her on the cheek. And I was about to but then she turned her head at the last second and we kinda.." Will laughed awkwardly. I laughed too. "Um, Tye, What was your first kiss like. "

       "Horrible." I laughed not really knowing how else to explain it. "I don't know any other words to explain it."

       "Will, do you have any crushes at this point in time?" Dana asked setting another card down.

       "I think so."
