Chapter Six~ Prepping for the Beach

After a couple more question I guess I fell asleep because I don’t remember much more than that. although in the morning I was awakened by a whisper. “Tyler Bradley!” I opened my eye and looked up to see Eve. But then again she was the only one who knew that my name was actually Tyler and not Tye. But she knew I preferred Tye, so she almost never called me Tyler. “We're going to the beach today.”

“What?” I said in my normal tone of voice as I sat up. Dana’s arm fell onto my lap, indicating that he had fallen asleep with it around me. Dana and Will seemed to still be sleeping so I tried to stand up without bothering them.

“Cole want’s us to go to the beach. Dalton and Gabe are coming. And Cole called WIll last night for confirmation with him, little did we know Dana was here too. I personally didn’t know you were into that kinda stuff.” She teased.

I could feel my face get warmer. “What kinda stuff?! I’m not into any kinda stuff!” The words came out a bit louder than intended and Will sat up sleepily. But I ignored him for the time being. “And I’m not going to the beach.”

“Why not?”

“You know why!”

“It’s not like it’s a big deal. They’re not going to judge you or anything because of it.”

“What’s not a big deal.” Will yawned as he stood up.

“She has scars from her old boyfriend.” Eve shrugged as if it was no big deal.

“Eve!” I glared at her as I sat down on the couch.

“What do you mean by scars?” Will looked a bit concerned. Not that he should be. This was all just stupid. I never should have let them stay in the first place.

“Nothing. Just drop it.” I interrupted, not wanting Eve to say anymore. “I’ll go to the beach.”

I looked over at the clock that hung on the wall. It was twelve-thirty already. “Great, me and Cole are leaving in about ten minutes. But you guys can leave whenever. Just try to be there by three.” Eve seemed to smile at this as she moved over to her room where Cole’s head was peeking out. I guess he was listening to that whole thing also. Just great. I began to walk towards me room as well, not really wanting to wake Dana.

I grabbed a bag out of my closest and emptied all of the unnecessary things inside of it. I grabbed some sun screen in which I have used in about a year, mostly because I never go to beaches or pools, or outside in general. Next I grabbed my beach towel. I had bought it when I got my bathing suit. They both had a matching blue polka dot pattern, which I liked.

Then there was a quiet knock on the door then I could hear it open a little. “So much for privacy.” I his, not caring who was at the door. I grabbed a book and placed it in the bag as well. I don’t see myself swimming much.

“Sorry.” I heard Dana’s voice as he walked in closing the door behind him. “We still have to stop by Will’s house and my house.” The boy sat on my bed, looking around the room.

“I just need to grab a couple more things. And then we can leave.” the words came out quieter than expected. Next was my bathing suit. I looked under my bed finding both the top and bottom. I shoved it in the bag and looked around. “I need to change. I’ll be out in a couple of minutes.” Dana nodded as he heard this and walked out, closing the door behind him.

I changed into a purple tank top,some shorts, and put on some flip flops. After that I put my phone and earbuds in my bag and threw it over my shoulder. “I’m ready.” I called walking into the main room. Dana slipped on his shoes and opened the door, walking out into the main hall if the building. Will walked out afterwards and I followed, closing the door. When we got to Dana’s car I sat in the back.

“I haven’t been to the beach in a while.” Will smiled as he got into the passenger seat. Dana then got in and started the car.

Just then Dana got a phone call. He answered it as he began to drive. Gabes voice rang through the whole car. “Dude you have to get here. There are so many hot girls here!”

“The hotties with the bodies?” Dana seemed to laugh.

Wow, this was going to be an interesting day.
