Chapter 6

It was the next day. I just finished school and the cheerleaders were getting ready for the basketball game tonight. I was fixing up my makeup and hair. We as cheerleaders either did ponytails or half up half down hairstyle. I put my hair in a neat half up and half down hairstyles. I then wrote my basketball player number on my face which we are given. My basketball person is Ross. Since he is co captain of basketball and I am co captain of the cheerleader group. Claire had Mitch as her basketball person since he is the other co captain. Maddie had my brother. So they both switched numbers.

I wrote Ross' number on my face. I smiled at my reflection. I then adjusted my top and shirt. It was red and white with a little black. Those are our school colors. I then put a white bow in my hair. Our basketball team is really good too. They have 9 wins and 1 loss but it's okay. We are still going to playoffs.

"Okay Girls" Diana said. Our captain. "Let's go out there and cheer it!" We are cheered and headed out. Claire walked up.

"I'm nervous" she said. She is a flyer and with her being pregnant might be a little problem if she get dropped.

"Make sure they are tight and good if we do those stunts" I said. She nodded. We walked to the gym. It was a home game. It was an hour before the game and the guys were warming up. We went to the side of the bleachers. Diana the captain walks up

"Alright let's to set up 2" she said. Claire gave me a nervous face. We went in form. I was in front for this one cheering and Claire was held up by three girls. They raised her up and the other ones went up. "Good, okay just making sure it looks good. Show me how you guys get down during the cheer." I stood with my hands on my hips. "Go". They had to throw the people up and they had to twist, then they had catch and set them down. They did that then some one tripped and I thought it was Claire. Luckily it wasn't but sad it happened. It was a freshman.

"Okay. We are good for now" she yelled. We walked out of formation. I looked on the court and Ross was shooting the ball. He was hella hot. Ohf. Claire came up to me.

"Who are you looking at?" She said. I laughed.

"No one" I said. "Just looking at the team practice"

"So the hot guys?" She said. I mean she is not wrong, I was just looking at one hot guy but I shrugged, then nodded. "ohh get some girl" she nudged me. Ross looks at me and did a small smile, then ran back in line. I smiled to myself and turned around. Vanessa and the dance team was practicing too since they perform at halftime usually on home games. Clarie and I took a picture together. We then waited til the game to start.

the game started and we got into position. The senior had flowers because since it is senior week for basketball, they give a flower someone that means something to them or made an impact in their life. My brother was first, he gave Clarie the flower and hugged me. I knew he would do that. Nick was next. He comes running over to me, no no no no no. I legit no. He handed me the flower, I didn't want to accept it but just held it there. I took it. I looked at Ross, he was pissed. Mitch was the next person and he gave it to his mom. Aww. Maddie wasn't upset. Ross was next and he stood there for a moment. He looks in my direction, and then runs over. He hands me the flower, I looked at him shocked and smiled. I took it. He smiled and ran over. The other seniors went. Ross gave me his flower, if he truly meant it. I don't know. Maybe he just did it because Nick did. My brother was utterly confused. I set them by the bag and all the girls oohed.

"Girl you got admirers" Jessica said. I laughed.

"Yeah I guess I do" I said. We started to cheer our chant once the national athem was done. We did our thing through the game and cheered on our boys. The game ended and we won the game. It was really fun and good game. My brother came over and hugged claire, I took my phone out and took a picture of them.
