Marc's P.O.V:
'Where's Nathaniel? He's usually here in time to make sure that we can work on the comic together... oh no... IS HE NOW EMBARRASSED TO BE AROUND ME SINCE WE'RE DATING NOW?!'
My mind starts to dive deep down into a serious pool of panic as I nervously bite the tips of my fingernails, chipping off tiny bits of my black nail polish as I gulp subconsciously, rearing my fingers away from my mouth as attention wise my eyes stop working, thanks to myself so distracted in my own mind I quickly crash into someone in front of me. My eyes squeeze shut as I fall backwards. Dropping my notebook and some of my supplies as I hold a hand to my head.
"Oh no! Marc I'm so sorry!" A female voice informs me apologetically as I look up from my sitting position as Marinette leans down to me with a hand sticking out to me. I chuckle awkwardly as I take her offering hand as she pulls me up off the ground.
"I-It's a-alright Marinette, I-I wasn't paying attention s-so it's also p-pretty much my own f-fault." I inform the bluenette in front of me as she keeps on a warm and faint grin plastered on her face.
"Heh... lets just say this is both our faults." Marinette says to me warmly as she scratches the back of her head sheepishly. She's always just as shy as I am, awkward too. But obviously my heart is already taken by Nathaniel. At the very least... I mean, it's not I just like boys, I like girls just as much. However, no way I can cheat.
"O-Okay, I-If you say s-so M-Marinette." I agree with her as I quickly sweep up all my things off the floor as I organize everything back together with shifting them into my arms like usual.
"Are you excited for the seasonal school dance?" Marinette asks me curiously as she leans closer to me. A sheepish blush grows on my face as all I can do is nod in agreement.
"O-Of c-course! I-I mean... I-I am g-going to the d-dance w-with N-Nathaniel too, so-."
"WHAT?!" Marinette exclaims in shock, I flinch in my standing stance as the bluenette keeps staring in utter shock, oh no... why do I just allow myself to slip off with my words in what I say? Great job Marc... you just done and go off saying that Nathaniel and I are going to the dance.
"I-Is that b-bad?!" I ask nervously, hugging my stuff to myself more tightly as Marinette drops her shocked look, the slap of realization hits her as she profusely shakes her head to me. Chuckling a bit awkwardly.
"O-Of course not! I mean.... I'm honored to know, after all... Nathaniel in class discussed to me your relationship with him! Honestly, I find you two to be a really cute couple! Totally support it!" Marinette bubbly assures me as she keeps on her face a smile.
Oh god... Nathaniel...
My head subconsciously nods to Marinette as her face drops to something behind me. Most likely thanks to Adrien's appearance so wandering to our direction. I spin myself right around just to see if my own assumptions are right, only for a hand to push me back, hitting my head on the metal of a locker. Marinette squeaking my name as she hurries to my side, Chloe out of nowhere stops just to lock eyes with me.
"Well if it isn't writer freak, what do you think just standing around like an idiot for me?" She asks as her stare transforms into a glare. Marinette grunting in frustration stands back up as she guards me, stupidly just looking at the situation with Spades in cover under my hoodie. Observing.
"Why can't you ever give Marc a break Chloe!? He's done nothing wrong!" Marinette states out to our stereotypical blonde bully Chloe. Turning her attention to Marinette with a serious case of bemusement yet bored.
"Come on baker, you can't save anyone with that peppy attitude you have everyday," Chloe throws into Marinette's face as a pause of silence settles in, "If it really could, how come Akuma's still happen here in Paris then? Huh?"
