Chapter six: eighteen, crazy

/Marina's POV\
It's been a year, I had decided to stay here in LA and I haven't missed a birthday, wether it be a friend of a friend or someone who is close with the Forest family in America, but the one time. THE ONE TIME. I miss Jason's birthday, I checked my phone and my plump rosey lips curl up into a straight line, my dimples becoming deeper and my not so obvious dimpled chin becomes obvious.

"Hey Ree, you decent? Too bad I've already opened the door so hide if you aren't" that familiar fading British accent echos in my head as he burst opens the door with his muscular enough tanned body walks in with only gray sweatpants on and the rim of his Calvin Klein boxers peaking out. He had also given me the nickname "Ree"

"Uh-uh-- yeah no I'm decent." I say as I swing my arms behind my back, letting out a nervous 'heh' at the end of my sentence.
"You alright? And what are you hiding??" Jason comes closer to me
"Nothing! And I'm fine, I promise."I say, my heart beating out of my chest because I really think I've fallen for this douchebag.
"Rinaaaaaaaa!!!" He gently places his hands on my shoulder and he towers over me so I make sure he doesn't see the invisible birthday present I have gotten him.
"It's your birthday present!!!" I play yell up at him
"You didn't have to?" He says just getting closer to me
"I---"
Mary barges in and sees what's happening
"Jason, may I speak to you alone?" She looks at him, clearly annoyed.
"Hey Poppins.. you doing o---"
"SHUT UP YOU IRRELEVANT BITCH!!!"
I step back, hurt by the words that have come out of my cousin and best friends mouth.

What Mary said to me really hurt, so I just stayed in my room contemplating my life or death thoughts until the one who said such hurtful things walks in slowly, she starts with apologies I self consciously reply with "it's okay" she then informs me that we're going to where Jason is having his birthday party.

We renovated part of a beach to have his friends over for his birthday, because if we had of just went anywhere we would've most likely got excluded from everything from his fans. He has now 10 Million subscribers on YouTube, his own Netflix show and some songs. I---- will leave my speech until myself and Mary are doing that friend thing people do at parties.

I had to quickly buy Jason a present so I ran to the nearest Gucci store and bought him a Gucci belt knowing his size because he's brought me shopping so many times. I put it in a different bag and run to the beach, out of breath by now, my hair jumping up and down as I walk on the stones, feeling happy as ever.

It comes around to the speeches and he decided to record some of his party and he wanted to include the speeches.

"I met this broken, lonely, abandoned boy a year ago. Nobody knew what he was capable of, not even him. He excluded himself from everything and everyone but had his moments when he would randomly pop up and be the fuckiest of fuck boys, now he has such amazing fans and friends. And is getting through tough times, always having a smile on his face as he accomplishes more exciting things in life. He now has 10 Million subscribers, his own Netflix shows, he has been on the cover of many magazines and has an album on Spotify and apple music. Words may not describe how proud I am of Jason, but he knows and always will know, for eternity. Happy eighteenth birthday Jason."

I sit back down and receive the heart eyes from the birthday boy, his heartwarming thank you makes me go all red.

The party is over and it's only myself, Mary, Jason and two of his youtube friends left, I think their YouTube channel is called The Dolan Twins. Anyway, I go to find Jason to give him his present but drop it in shock and heartbreak..
