The familiar buzzing of Josh's alarm clock rang through Allison's dream. She pretended to be asleep as Josh dressed and left the house to go to work. Rolling over the clock read 4:30 AM. "Ugh!" Allison moaned. After much tossing and turning Allison decided to head to the barn and start work on the new colts early. 'I can't wait to ride Casanova and see how he works!' Allison thought.

Silently, the horses in the barn stirred, munched and slept. Allison flicked a switch and the barn isle and stalls lit up with fluorescent lighting. Grabbing her tack box she headed down to Casanova's stall. He welcomed her with a low nicker, awaiting treats. "Sorry, I've only got brushes." Allison shrugged. As the bristle brushed flicked the dirt away, Cass lifted his top lip to show he enjoyed the scratches. She laughed and pushed her long, curly black hair behind her ears. "Time for the saddle big boy! And then we can head for the indoor!" Allison whispered enthusiastically. Sorting through the saddles in the tack room, Allison found her old barrel saddle, perfect for Cass. It was a Pozzi. Beautifully tooled. A caramel leather with blue flowers and the word "Pozzi" painted on the keeper and a blue suede seat. Setting the black saddle pad on his back, she heaved the barrel saddle on top, right above the withers is where the gullet sat.

Once Cass was decked out in tack, Allison mounted him in her indoor arena. It was massive and the sand was extremely soft and cinnamon coloured. The ceiling was bare and showed the beams, the walls were oak wood. Warming him up, Allison started to think maybe it was all an act at HillCrest and maybe he wasn't such a bad horse. When a wind gust picked up, Cass didn't even flinch. She started loping him in circles and occasionally he would try to move faster but never bucked.

Impressed, Allison flooded Cass with praise. She untacked and headed for the tack room fridge to snatch a carrot for the bay colt. He munched it up as if it was gold.
