Anxiety's eyes open in a fog. He heard the faint noise of the TV, but the rest of the room was filled with a natural silence. Well, almost a complete silence. He heard the faint noise of what seemed like a snore...
He looked up, his eyes went wide at what he saw, he was about to gasp, but forced himself not to. A sleeping Prince was above him, and he didn't want to know how he'd act by being woken up, let alone being woken up with Anxiety practically on top of him.
In fact, he really was on top of him. His head in the perfect position on his chest, legs intertwined with one and others...
How did this even happen? Anxiety went back to the previous night in his mind...Oh, right. They were watching Snow white...Patton made them sit next to each other..he must've fallen asleep?
What really confused Virgil was the fact that Princey never once tried to move him off. In fact, it looked like Roman had pulled him even closer.
A blush formed on the younger's face at the thought. He thought Roman...despised him? Last time he checked, you don't cuddle and sleep with someone you hate. A small smirk formed on his lips, and with a bit of guilt running through his head, he rested his head back down onto the Prince.
But, before he could even get a moment to enjoy himself, a minute of peace, and understanding, a very loud and energetic Morality busted into the room. Anxiety jolted up as he heard, "WAKE UP EVERYONE, I MADE BREAKFAST!"
Logan instantly bursted up in a pant, he looked around himself, it was as if he were looking for something...or someone in particular. He frowned. Though, that seemed to stop as soon as he looked at Patton with a smile.
Too focused on Logan, Anxiety barely even noticed the small cough below him. He slowly turned his head only to see Prince looking at him with a questionable glare. "O-Oh, I'm sorry I m-must've fallen asleep."
For a moment it looked like Roman was about to get angry, start one of their very common fights, make things bad again and very awkward for Virgil, but instead, he simply put his hand in the younger's hair, causing him to flinch, and ruffling it. "It's okay, Wednesday Adams. You look cute."
Roman gently moved Anxiety out of the way, getting up and heading for the kitchen. Logan, Patton, and Anxiety all sat their in shock over the display.
Did Roman just act kindly with him, hell, full blown flirting with him!? In front of the others?!
Anxiety cleared his throat as he turned and heard a slight giggling noise. Dad stood there, jumping up and down and clapping his hands. "See! I knew you guys would end up getting along."
Anxiety rolled his eyes with a blush then looked to Logan, "Go calm your girlfriend down."
Logan instantly grew a bright red, along with Patton, "Anxiety! He is not my girlfriend, or anything of the sort!"
Anxiety laughed a bit walking past Patton to get to the kitchen, "Say that to Patton's pout."
Virgil headed into the kitchen, leaving the other two in a pretty awkward state. He smirked. His work there was done.
When he entered the eating area, he found a confused looking Princey near an arrangement of food, it was practically a buffet. Did Patton do this every morning?
Anxiety blushed, thinking about the events that had happened only mere minutes before.
Keep cool, keep cool. Just smile.
He smiled at Roman, receiving nothing back in return. Had he already messed it up? Did Roman wish to not speak to him?
He sighed, turning around and heading to his room. I knew it was stupid to think things could be different-
Before he could finish his thoughts, he felt a slight tug on the back of his hoodie. He gasped as he was turned around, only to be eye to eye with the prince.
They both were extremely close to one and other, and both had slight hues on their cheeks.
Before Anxiety could question the other's odd behavior, he was interrupted. "Look, Anxiety...we had a very nice time last night and it made me realize that...all these years I was afraid of something. Something I can't...reveal to you just yet but, something I've now revealed to myself. I just...want to apologize for how I have treated you all this time."
Roman was too caught up in his words that, he hadn't even noticed the tears sliding off of the other's cheeks. He instantly panicked, worry filling within him. He frantically wiped them away. "Woah! Woah, are you okay? Are you hurt? Did I...do something?"
Anxiety just smiled, a slight giggle could be heard before he pulled the Prince into a hug. Roman was a little taken aback, but responded almost instantly. "I'm a little confused..."
Anxiety sighed, "I'm just...really happy."
The thought of Virgil being happy oddly made butterflies form in Roman's stomach. He grinned, deciding to take in the moment for what it was.
"I'm glad, Virgil. I'm glad."
