Is It You..? [Pidge x Reader]

[1] Class Started

Pidge had woke up thanks to the annoying alarm clock next to her bed. She rubbed her eyes and sat up on her bed, wondering what today was. 'Oh crap.' she thought. It was the first day of high school. She stood up and went over to her dresser. She picked out an anime shirt, some Grey basketball shorts (although she despised sports), and her signature green sweater before heading to the bathroom to go shower. She came out of the bathroom about ten minutes later fully clothed, but still brushing her teeth. She finished up and walked over to her older brother Matt's room. The short girl knocked on the door.

"Can I have a ride to school? Dad already left." she asked through the closed door. She heard a low groan in response.

"I'll do your chores after school today." she said, obviously trying to bribe him somehow.

She was successful. He poked his head out of his room and gave her a long, hard stare before he walked out and to the living room. She sighed and followed him. They were both on the couch putting their shoes on. Although neither of them would admit it, they were totally racing. Matt finished first and got up to go pour himself a bowl of cereal, leaving Pidge to pout because of his victory. She had gotten up and went to the kitchen as well, doing the same thing as Matt. They did this almost every morning, except with their dad. He had left early today though, he was a teacher at Pidge's new school. New high school, to be exact. He was the science teacher, which just so happened to be Pidge's favorite subject. She smiled throughout the entire class, getting exceptional grades in that subject. She got good grades in general, but in science especially. As soon as the two siblings had finished their breakfast they were both headed back to their rooms to get their bags. Matt was already waiting at the door when Pidge left her room with what she was sure was everything she needed.

"Computer." was all Matt said.

Pidge hit her forehead with her hand almost immediately before heading back to her room to grab it. She grabbed her light green computer bag off of her bed and ran to the door, where Matt was now waiting outside. Pidge walked outside and toward Matt's car. She waited in front of it until he was done locking up the house. She anxiously yanked on the car door and got inside before throwing her bag in the back seat. She was sooooo nervous for the first day. Like really nervous. And, it's not that she didn't know her friends were all gonna be there, it's just that, she was nervous that she was gonna get picked on or something. She kept thinking of those dumb things that happened in stupid dramatic high school movies, or books. Matt got into the car and smiled over at Pidge. She gave a nervous, lopsided smile back.

"You ready?" he asked.

"Are you really asking me that Matt?" she said with a small smile on her face.

"No shit. Now answer me." he retorted back, starting the car engine and beginning to back out of the parking lot him having a smile on his face as well.

"No. Well.. I dunno." Pidge finally answered, while resting her head on the car window as Matt began to drive off.

"Well ya know you got all of your friends there. Right? It's not like Lance and Keith would let anything happen to you. Hell Shiro would totally kill someone if they bullied you, with H

unk by his side helping. And you know damn well Allura would too." Matt said, giving a small reassuring smile through his mirror. This made Pidge smile.

She definitely had the best friends ever. Definitely. No questions asked.

-about ten minutes later-

They arrived at the high school.
'Carp. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap.'
Was literally all Pidge has thought for a whole minute. Matt was just there holding in his laugh as he watched her nervous face. Suddenly, a familiar obnoxious voice was heard.

"Hey!" Lance called out, knocking on Pidge's window.

She snapped out of her small trance and smiled, seeing one of her friends. She opened her door and got out of the car. She started walking away after waving goodbye to Matt. A few minutes later, she came back because she realized she forgot her backpack. Then she walked off to the school with Lance. He was smiling the whole time, it was his signature cocky smile that showed he was a little too confident about himself. They got to the school and headed straight for the library, where the rest of the friend group was waiting. When Hunk saw Pidge he tackled her with a hug, and she managed to hug back too.

"I'm so excited to start school, but so nervous too. I'm like, excited and nervous mixed together. Is that a thing?" Hunk stated.

Everyone laughed. While everyone was distracted, Pidge managed to slide away and go look for a new book. When she eventually found her new book, she sat down at a table with only one person there. She saw someone with [hair length], [hair color] hair. She liked it. As she sat down she had noticed the book was covering the person's face. The person who was reading had noticed Pidge staring and put the book down revealing her face features and a shy smile. Pidge's eyes widened when she realized the girl saw her staring.

"S-sorry I was just admiring your book." Pidge managed to get out.

"Do you read about astrology too?" asked the person in front of her with the book.

"Yeah! That's zodiac signs and stuff, right?" Pidge asked. Her mind has immediately gone to mush, and she was having a hard time remembering.. everything. The girl nodded her head.

"I'm Pidge, Pidge Gunderson. And you are?" Pidge said reaching out to shake the girls hand.

"I'm [Name], [Name, Last Name]. Nice to meet you Pidge." she said as she shook Pidge's hand.

Suddenly the bell rang and [Name] pulled her hand from Pidge's.

"See you around Pidge." [Name] said as she stood up and grabbed her bag before walking away to class.

Pidge just sat there for a second, noticing how warm and tingly her hand felt after [Name] touched it.

"Pidge?" Hunk asked, trying to get her attention. She flinched when Hunk out his hand on her shoulder.

She got up and grabbed her backpack before beginning to walk to Science with Hunk. "Are you anxious about today? Because I'm really anxious about today. Do you think we'll meet any new people?-" That's all Pidge could hear before his voice was cut off by her thoughts. 'There goes Hunk and his ranting again.' Pidge thinks. When the arrive in class Hunk finds a seat next to Shay and Pidge puts her stuff down next to him. She looks around the room, in hopes that she'll see someone else that she knows. From the corner of her eye, she sees the girl from the library. She was sitting alone, as if she had no friends and didn't know anyone.

"[Name], right?" Pidge asked as she got to her desk.

"Yeah. And, Pidge, right?" she asked as she looked up from her book smiling.

"Wanna come over and sit with my friends? You don't look like you know anyone here." Pidge said, fiddling with the sleeves of her green sweater nervously.

"Sure!" [Name] said, her eyes lighting up immediately as she shot up from her chair. Pidge walked over to Hunk, [Name] following behind her.

"Guys this is [Name], is it cool if she sits with us?" Pidge asks hope fully. Hunk looks [Name] up and down.

"Sure! Hi! I'm Hunk. Annd this is Shay. We're kinda weird so sorry if we end up scaring you away-"

Pidge rolled her eyes and took a seat next to [Name] as class started.
