I pull the white bow of the baby blue box.
This morning is the tea party were I'm meeting Aaron. I am not looking forward to it.
I pull out the dress that is in the box. Elenor has made me a blue, floral, knee-length tea party dress. Dad insisted I wear a flower crown. Like that is ever going to happen.
My hair is pulled into a bun on the side of my head, with a white fascinator above it.
"You look bridal, my lady," Fawn tells me. I honestly feel like ripping the fascinator off at that very moment. I don't want to look like a bride.
"Are you ready for your makeup?" Elenor asks.
"Sure, let me go and put this on first." I hold up the dress and walk into my wardrobe.
Once my dress is on and my hair and makeup is done, I stare at myself in the mirror.
I think I look the most beautiful I have ever been. I look like a woman; not a queen, not a princess or a teenager, just a good woman.
If only I felt like it too.
I would be blissfully happy if I was going to meet my true love, but I'm not. I am marrying a man I don't know.
What if he is a faker? What if he pretended like he was a good person, but hurt me behind closed doors? Suddenly, a rush of fear came over me. What if he is a criminal who is going to poison me and take my crown? He will say I drowned in the bath or something, then become king and destroy Pivvotlee.
Calm down, Averi. This is Lady Bree's son, he will be a nice boy, just like dad said, I tell myself, trying to calm down.
"Morning tea is ready, Averi." I whip my head around to the sound of my dads voice.
"Oh, you scared me, dad." I try to laugh.
"Are you okay, sweetie? Did you hurt your neck?" Dad says, wheeling himself over to me.
"No, no. Everything's good." I reply, shrugging it off.
"Alright then, lets get you downstairs."
The room was outrageous. Whoever the decorators were, they had completely outdone themselves.
In the middle of the massive room, is a table with a white tablecloth hanging over it. Sitting at the table are four fine china plates decorated with pink flowers and crystal wineglasses filled up with juices are sitting beside them. Next to them, are golden mini desert forks. And placed in the middle of the table is a vintage teapot filled with the most expensive tea. I can see steam flowing from the top of it.
Two vases with blue and pink roses are placed along the table. I look closer and see that every individual petal has silver glitter falling off of it.
An enormous chandelier is hanging above the table, the window's light is reflecting off it, blinding me for a second.
A warm breeze tickles my skin, I turn to see that the balcony doors are wide open, giving the room a sunny, airy feel to it.
It is truly breathtaking.
"Wow." The unfamiliar voice startles me, so I look up, Standing there is a boy around the same age as me, maybe a bit older due to his height. He towers over lady Bree.
I assume the boy is Aaron and that he amazed by the scenery around him, but as my eyes lock onto his, I realise Aarons 'Wow' was directed at me.
He is wearing a dark brown tux, with a black bowtie. There is nothing really special about him, he has boring brown hair and brown eyes, with fine wire glasses sitting on top of his freckly nose. I usually don't like glasses, but in a way, he makes them look cool.
