Chapter 20

(Y,n)'s P.O.V.

There was a knock on the door, I ignored it. It opened, and they sat on the bed beside me. I was wrapped in warm arms, then smaller ones followed. I cried harder, fingers digging into Levi's jacket as he held me.

"Please don't cry mommy."

Lily, I forgot about her. I can't cry in front of her. I have to stay strong, for her sake, and mine. I lifted my head up, faking a smile. Levi turned my head to him, and wiped away my tears.

"Lily why don't you go stay with Hange for today. Your mom is okay now she just needs some rest." Levi said.

"Okay, if mommy is okay, I can go see aunty Hange for a bit."

She hugged me again saying goodbye. Then, she left.

"I like it."

"Hm?"

"When she calls me mom. It makes me think that even though she's not mine, I can raise her like she is. At least till this curse kills me."

"Don't say that. I told you a long time ago that I will find a cure, and I will. Even if it kills me....."

"Levi...."

I hugged him letting tears fall down my face.

"His last words."

"Hm?"

"Mori, his last words. He told me he loved me.... What am I supposed to do now?"

He held me tighter.

"We'll figure it out, we always do."

We laid down together, on the bed. Levi just held me, till dinner. Then he got up and got me some dinner. I didn't eat though, I wasn't hungry. Then we laid down again, holding each other. Next thing I know there was a knock on the door, then in came strawberry shortcake.

"Captain, commander Erwin wants to see you."

He said goodbye and left after that.

Levi's P.O.V.

I walked to Erwin's office knocking and waiting to be told to come in. When he said I could I walked in sitting in a chair with my arms on the back of it and my legs crossed.

"Levi, is it true you have been having sexual intercourse with a cadet?"

"No."

"No? Then why is it a cadet came to me saying you have?"

"Because their dicks?"

"Alright, have you been seeing a cadet."

"..... I see cadets all day."

"You hesitated."

"Yeah well maybe I just don't like being interegated eyebrows."

"Just be warned, you could lose your position if this were to be true."

"Don't threaten me eyebrows, you know as well as I do, me losing my position could be drastic to the few people left alive. The morale would go down so fast people would be practically killing themselves. You need me weather you like it or not. Weather I break one simple rule or not."

"Who is it?"

"Who is who?"

"Who's the girl?"

"There is no girl eyebrows."

"Its (Y,n) isn't it?"

"Shut up bushy brows."

"I knew it, when did it start?"

I sighed. What's the point anyway.

"Before the scouts, me and my old friend found her. She was about to be killed by those first generation freaks. Her mom was killed and her dad apparently got away, but he told Farlan and I to take care of her. So we did, she was 7 years old then. We practically raised her. Then she found out about her powers and she was killed looking for a cure."

"Killed?"

"Yes she died in my arms, I watched the life drain from her eyes. But turns out her regeneration kicked in long after we were gone. It took five years for her to fully heal."

"So she knew you way before we knew you?"

"Long long before."

"Hm, I might just have to look into this."

"Do what you wish, I'm leaving."

"Levi?"

"Hm?"

"Dont get her pregnant."

"Do you think I'm stupid? I won't get her pregnant, not in this sick world."

"Come back in a bit, we need to see the titan shifter. Oh, and bring (Y,n)."

"Mhm."

Then I left, going down the hall back to (Y,n)'s room. I knocked and waited for an answer. Soon Petra opened the door in her underwear.

"Get some damn clothes on, Ral."

"Why? You distracted?" She smirked.

"Don't be stupid cadet. Where's (L,n)?"

"Sleeping, what do you see in her anyway? She's just a bunch of baggage."

"Watch what you say cadet." I growled.

"Let me in I need to wake (Y,n)."

"Why?"

"That's none of your concern, now is it brat."

"You two gonna go fuck?"

"What the hell Ral, you have no right to speak to me that way. Go clean the mess hall until I tell you to stop, got it?"

"Yes sir, come on in I guess."

She stepped aside, letting me in and going to get her uniform on in the bathroom. I went and sat on (Y,n)'s bed, I watched her sleep for only a few moments. Then I kissed her forehead and ran my hand through her hair, waking her up.

"Levi? What is it?"

"Erwin wants you to meet the titan shifter. He thinks you two might be able to share something in common, seeing as you both have a power that has to do with titans."

She moaned tiredly, getting up, it seems she fell asleep in her uniform. We walked together, meeting Erwin at his office and walking down to the cells together.

"I know about you two." Erwin told (Y,n).

"Oh."

I guess she wasn't in the talking mood....

"Whatever it is, its fine for now. You two need to watch yourselves though. For if you are to get pregnant, you could both lose your positions. And you will probably be hanged, for fear of having a baby not able to control its, abilities."

"Sir, I dont mean to be rude but, this curse isnt genetic, it doesn't pass by blood it passes by injection. And I would never put this burden on a child. I would rather die."

"Good, at least we are on the same page about one thing..."
