Gajeel P.O.V
We soared through the portal, and arrived at the back of the guild. Members were holding up weapons and preparing to attack but Natsu was talking them down. I jumped off Tsundera and looked I were Levy should be appearing. "Gajeel-kun, where's Levy?" Juvia asked as she walked up beside me. I didn't say anything as I waited for Levy to appear through the air.
I started to panic, but then the air shimmered. Flames chased Levy and Theo as they flew through the portal. They tumbled to the ground as the flames vanished, kicking up dirt and dust. I ran to Levy, skidding as I fell to my knees beside her. She and Theo were both burned, but the exceed had shielded her and took the worst of it. Wendy rushed over and immediately started to heal him as I gently lifted Levy. She groaned a little and looked up at me. She grinned the goofiest smile and I couldn't help but smile back. "You know, your more trouble now than before we found out you were a slayer." I told her.
"Well that's one of the perks isn't it?" this got several people laughing and I realized they had gathered around. I helped Levy to her feet as she gently held a now healed but sleeping Theo. "Levy, what was that before? When we caught a glimpse of you?" Erza asked. "The gate was opening and I got there just in time to close it." she said. "Yeah and you nearly became dragon food." Laxus said.
"But I didnt!" Again there was laughter. "So, who are your friends?" The master asked. We turned to the four large dragons. Wendy was holding onto Grendeeny and trying not to cry. Igneel was laying on the ground while Natsu sat and leaned against his neck. Metalicanna and Tsundera were sitting together, she was leaning against him and he had his head resting on her. Levy gasped a little, a small blush on her cheeks. "Are you guys?!" Tsundera laughed. "Yes." She squeeled a little, clapping her hands. I didn't get it. She remember masters question and turned back to him. "These are our dragons. Igneel and Grendeeny. Metalicanna and his mate, my dragon, Tsundera." She pointed out each dragon as she said the names.
"Wait- mate?!" I suddenly shouted. Levy face palmed while Natsu laughed. "Your a bigger idiot than I am!" I glared at him but he only laughed harder. Levy sympathetically patted my arm. "It's ok. I think your smarter than him," "Oi!" Natsu shouted. Everyone, even the dragons, laughed. Once everyone was quiet Erza stepped forward. "So what will the four of you do now?" She asked the dragons. They all looked at each other. "We will be returning to the dragon realm." "What!?" the four of us shouted. "But I just found you!" Natsu shouted at Igneel. Metalicanna and I glared at each other. Wendy tried not to cry and Levy was in her own staring contest.
"They're right." She said quietly. "What?" I gaped at her. "This isn't a place for dragons." she walked up to Tsundera, who lowered her head to the girl. Levy hugged her face, not letting go. "They belong back there. And besides." she stepped back. "Good bye doesn't have to be forever." she smiled up at the dragon, tears in her eyes. "You've gotten so strong my daughter." The blue dragon said. "I have my family to thank for that." she motioned towards the guild. Wendy ran up to Grendeeny and hugged her again, crying as she said her good bye. Natsu just sat with Igneel, talking with him quietly with his back to everyone.
I decided to walk up to the only father I ever had. I looked up at him and he lowered his head. We stared at each other for a long time. He nudged me with his muzzle and I smiled a little. "Yeah. You too." I hugged his face. Neither of us were good with emotions, but we got across what we wanted to say. I stepped back and stood with the others. Lucy and Levy opened another portal. "This is away from the palace, so you should be safe." Levy told them. They left, one by one and once they were through the gate closed. I walked up to Levy and threw my arm around her shaking shoulders. She wiped her eyes and looked up at me with a smile.
"Thank you for everything Gajeel." I grinned. "Anything for you shrimp. And don't forget," I said as I leaned down to her. "Never leave my side again." I pressed my lips to hers, ignoring the gasps and cries behind me. I pulled back and grinned down at my blushing mate. With her by my side, anything was possible.
{Sorry for the shortness little leaves. Yes I plan on a sequel but I need to catch up on everything else first. Still trying to think of fairy tale ideas too. Until next time.}
