Chapter Eighteen - I miss you.

It’s four o’clock in the morning when I get a random call from Jay. I hesitate before accepting the call and putting it beside me ear.

“Come here quickly, I need to tell you something… I’m at the hotel we were last time in room 132.” He says, he sounds like he’s in tears.

“I’ll be there as soon as possible.” I say jumping out of bed, taking the first jumper I saw and putting it over my nighty and make my way to Jay’s room.

He opens the door as I see him in tears as I take him into a massive hug. Oh God, I’m falling for him twice as hard as last time.

“Stacey cheated on me…” He simple says as I hug him tighter, “She cheated on me with Chris…”

“What?!” I shout breaking away from him.

“I walked in to see them two together…”

“What did you do?” I ask stroking his arm for support he looks so hurt.

“I-I had a go at both of them… I broke up with her and I told him he didn’t deserve you…”

“I’m so sorry Jay, that must have been so hard for you!” I say.

“I-I’m not bothered by seeing them together, I’m upset because I want you back… I miss you, Lacey, I miss you so much.” He says as I start to cry too.

“I missed you so much, Jay, I love you.” I say through the tears.

“I love you, too.” He says as our heads crash lightly against each other as we begin to laugh and smile through the tears. He holds me just like he used to a year ago and begins to kiss me, shutting the door behind him. I break apart from him and take off the jumper as he looks down at it and laughs.

“Hey I didn’t know you had that?!”

“I kept it… I thought I’d never see you again, I didn’t like the thought of that.” I explain before he starts to kiss me again.

Waking up in Jay’s bed, I open my eyes to see the beautiful sight of Jay fast asleep, smiling to himself. I turn away from him and grab my phone to see four missed calls from mum. I get up from the bed putting Jay’s jumper back on and calling mum back.

“Lacey, where are you?!” Mum asks eagerly.

“I just went round Jay’s hotel late last night I didn’t want to wake you up.”

“Oh thank God… I thought you were back with that Chris boy, but Jay is so much better.” I laugh agreeing with her as I feel Jay’s arms wrap around my waist.

“Jay’s amazing.” I say as I turn to see Jay’s blushing face contrasting from his pale body as he’s only in his boxers.

We decide on that Jay’s going to come with me to dump Chris seeing as Jay doesn’t trust him, no matter how sober he’s been lately. He comes with me to meet Chris at the beach as the beach is completely empty in the mornings. As Chris comes over he looks confused over at Jay.

“Chris… I know you’ve cheated on me.” I simply say, “So I’m breaking up with you, you’re not the man you were about three years ago and I know you’ll never be him again. I can’t believe I was stupid enough to give you a second chance…” I say as his fist is clenched. I step back towards Jay.

“Don’t you dare even think about hurting, Lacey, she’s perfect, she’s beautiful, she’s funny, she’s smart, she’s brave, she’s too good for you, she doesn’t deserve you at all, she deserves so much better.” Suddenly Chris throws a punch at Jay as he blocks it and punches him in the stomach causing Chris to fall to the ground in pain, “Never hurt Lacey again.” Jay simple says before us both turning around, I turn around to see Chris stomp off. Finally got him off my back. And it’s all thanks to Jay.
